I keep these on Subscribe & Save so we never run out, and they’ve become our daily staple. I run them through a De'Longhi super-automatic machine, and they perform really well. If you own an automatic machine, you know how critical it is to avoid beans that are covered in heavy surface oils that gum up the built-in burrs and hopper chute. Despite being a rich, darker roast with plenty of punch, these aren't greasy, so they feed and grind consistently without clogging up the internals. Taste-wise, it pulls a thick, rich crema and definitely delivers that bold, traditional Italian cafe profile—low acidity, heavy body, and great cocoa notes that cut right through milk for flat whites or hold up as a straight espresso shot. I bought this as a substitute to my normal go to Lavazza Grand Riserva, mainly because of its price point being less expensive. This coffee is not horrible but it’s a poor substitute in comparison. I gave it 4 stars but probably should have kept it at 3.

This is the best coffee for espresso. Definitely recommended. No acid, dark and creamy.

Normally I like bolder expresso beans, but the expresso coffee is very good and tasteful.

At last a coffee bean when ground smells like coffee and tastes like coffee, the best I had to date. The price is right for the quantity. Will certainly recommend and buy again when low.
