One 6 pill package is sufficient per animal. You should also vacuum all carpet daily during the 2 weeks to remove any adult fleas. Fleas can only live a few days without feeding and the eggs hatch after about 48 hours, so you are stopping them from being able to procreate and without new eggs, there will be no new fleas. I've seen some pretty serious infestations be completely resolved using this method. You should also use a separate monthly prevention treatment to ensure the infestation doesn't return. **Q: Are the dog tablets the same as the cat ones?
