Highly Recommend Campfire Grill
This tri-pod grill works fantastic! Very easy to put together, set up and take down. The storage bag is very well made and keeps all the parts together while saving space in our RV. It's large enough to fit over any standard state park campfire ring and is very easy to raise and lower over the fire. The grill seems to very strong for its light weight design and can handle a sizable load.

Very sturdy - Great value!
It was very easy to put together and to use it. We grilled chicken on the grill yesterday. Would recommend to anyone. Has a carrying case and easy to put away without taking entire thing apart. Love it!

... of this and find this one to be a great combination of stable and mobile
I see a number of different versions of this and find this one to be a great combination of stable and mobile. It is quite stable for cooking over the open fire. It also breaks down rather easily for storage. There are certainly more heavy-duty ones that might handle several big pots (that would be a stretch on this one) but those won't break down easily. (The ones I've seen that were stronger were all home-made units.) I can break down and stow this one in less than a minute. I've done meats and veggies rather easily on it and even a couple of cast iron skillets side by side. I found two skillets were about as much as I could balance on it without losing it. I will say that one of the screws was too short to work (noted by other reviewers) though it did not slow me down. It was the one for the pulley (roller) and I just slid a piece of bendable metal through it (cut up a hanger) and bent the ends. Not even sure I'll need to rush to change that. The legs stay fairly cool at least for the size of fire pit I use it on. It moves so easily that there is no reason to leave it over the fire until you coals are ready. Even with the hardware snafu I am very pleased with it all in all.

I like this tripod pretty well having used the 20 dollar ...
I like this tripod pretty well having used the 20 dollar walmart units for several years now. The chain pulley setup is much better, and the chains are heavier duty. I kinda miss the shock corded poles, but you don't have to worry about melting or breaking the shock cords with this one. The eye and hook pieces on this one to keep the legs at a set distance from each other didn't seem to work well, and one of the eyes broke out from the tube (leg) the first time I used it. However, I am overall satisfied and will just not use this particular feature. The eye breaking out of the leg doesn't really hurt the leg any. The grate is very nice, and I love the raised rail around the edge to keep chicken legs from rolling off. I think it was worth the money. I was hoping it would be a little more heavy duty than it is, but I like it.

Durable and makes delicious food!
My friend has had this grill for over 10 years and it still works. I got jealous during one of our camping trips and decided to buy one for myself instead of dealing with the terrible fire pit grills that come with most camp sites. This grill is versatile and durable with vertical height adjustments. It can hold a fully loaded Dutch oven. Itโs quick to set up once you figure it out one time. Takes about 1-2 mins to put together. The grill is also lightweight and packs flat. We have made so many delicious meals. I wish I bought it sooner!

I thought I would buy it as it looked stronger and I like the bag
I have no idea what the designer of this was thinking. I have used tripod Grills for 40 years, and this leaves me scratching my head. I thought I would buy it as it looked stronger and I like the bag. Also the grill top has a lip on it so food will not slide off. I previously would just run the crate up all the way so it would not wobble all over and this works well. So the things I dislike on this Grill, from someone who Overlands a TON. First off anyone who uses these knows how soot builds up over the fire. This Grill requires a LOT of extra handling to assemble as the legs snap together with S-Clips rather than the bungy cord style that almost assemble themselves. This thing takes two hands and quite a bit of time to assemble. Secondly, the directions are horrible, and there hardware is 100% crap. i actually had extra hardware luckily, as one screw was missing the slot cut, and one nut had off center threads! The Pulley system is dumbfounding to say the least. Not sure what they were thinking. Lastly the legs are held together at the top with a piece of tin metal and nuts and bolts without Lock washers or lock nuts so the thing needs constant tightening. Also the legs use these crossbars on hooks to hold the legs from spreading to far, which is good, and bad. If you ever use one of these, you know that often times your fire pit is not perfect, and you sometimes need to move one leg out further etc or on uneven surfaces. The bag is also one notch better than paper so it is not very durable Also the adjuster that slides on the leg only adjusts the length of one leg because it then hits the S clip that holds the legs together....the best part of this was the laughter I got putting it together, wondering what the engineer was thinking. I will take the Grate and the Bag and use them as spare parts. After trying them all, i always come back to the $17 Coghlans one...its simply the best there is.

The nice thing about this is the convenience
I already had a grill similar to this one and I liked it so much that I ordered one as a gift. I was pleasantly surprised when I opened this brand up and found the grate, legs, and design to be even better than the one I currently have. The grate has a "lip" around the edge which is a nice feature that helps keep your food from rolling off when you swing it over the fire. It may not sound like a big deal, but when your hot dogs roll off into the fire, you'll appreciate the lip design. The chain is such that you can pull on it to raise the grill or lower it as needed. The case is great for storage but since the grill is left up throughout the season, it wouldn't get much use. (Although it is nice for transporting so you can keep the car clean.) Great product!

Easy to transport, worked great!
The directions were a little confusing for set up, but once we watched a couple of u tube videos, we figured it out! It collapses easily for transport & is sturdy- we did burgers one night, shish kabobs the next. Can't wait to think of more campfire cooking ideas.
