Great device for air popped popcorn, but you must pay attention
Love this silicone popcorn popper, especially at the sale price. This is my second one, and I actually plan on buying more as little gifts. I love air popped popcorn because I’m always dieting, and I have Air poppers. But, I have to take them out of their storage Lokation plug them in, fill them up, put the top on, get a bowl for the popcorn to go into and deal with the crazy popcorn’s that fly everywhere. This silicone popcorn popper is so easy to use. On my first try, I sprinkled some popcorn in the bottom to the Phil line, the smaller Phil line, and then I placed the lid on top and put it in my microwave. I didn’t know how long to pop it for so I put it on for 3 1/2 minutes. When it got close to that, I could tell that the popcorn was taking longer intervals to pop, so I stopped the microwave. The popcorn was perfectly cooked. Of course, I had to melt a little butter and put some salt on top, but I use the bowl that it popped in and after my husband and I had finished eating it, the bowl was so easy to clean and then crunch it down and store it. It was a dream. I’ve read some reviews about people complaining that they burnt their popcorn, well that can happen if you leave it in too long. You have to measure the time based on your microwave and the heat level that it produces, as not all of them produce the same. Once you figure out what your microwave does, you can pretty much estimate how long it’s going to take, but you still have to pay attention because you might’ve overfilled it or underfilled it.

Quick, easy money saver
I love popcorn and don’t love the health risks of prebagged microwave popcorn with all the chemicals so this is perfect. Quick, easy, and convenient, and will pop an entire bowl (about 2-3 tablespoons of kernels) without leaving unpopped kernels. I immediately transfer to a different bowl for eating, I would not use seasoning or oil in this silicone container. It takes about 2 minutes to have perfect popcorn. Great!! I like that I don’t need yet another appliance to plug in/find storage space for, and it’s just quick, easy, convenient. It seems durable. I haven’t found any problems, just don’t use oils in it. Use a serving bowl for that.

I highly Recommend
I am a popcorn lover and was a tried and true, do it in the pot with oil devotee most of my life. I also wanted to cut back on the calories, so I tried other methods. I tried air-poppers (I didn’t like the taste or texture of the popped kernels). Paper bag in the microwave (ummm NO). The most recent was the microwave popper that looks like a tea kettle. It took up space, is glass but that I knew when purchasing. What I found out was it would not pop all the kernels and if I waited for the 2-3 seconds between pops, not only were there un-popped kernels but some started to scorch. It also created too much heat in my microwave making it shut off if I tried to make a full pot. My most recent and last try was “The Original Popco Silicone Microwave Popcorn Popper”. This is the first time I added pictures to a review, but this product made me wish I knew how to make a video. Every single kernel popped! Not half popped (pa-tooh) kernels but nice fluffy pops. The taste is great, and the popper is a breeze to clean and store. I only fill it at the 50-gm line and the pops are so fluffy I get a full bowl which fills a gallon zip bag. I like to use the zip bags. I get a good coating with my seasoning. I shake it and can seal it the rare times I don’t eat it all. “The Original Popco Silicone Microwave Popcorn Popper” comes in various colors and is affordable enough that everyone can have their own bowl. It’s on this grandma’s gift giving list this year. I am not paid nor did I get a free one to try by any sponsor. I just love popcorn. Please check out the pictures I took with the phone right before this post. Yes, I’m enjoying it right now as I type. One more thing I just realized, the kernels pop so well I don’t have the shell sticking in my teeth. Now that’s progress in corn popping.

Good Popper!
Well, I'm a Hoosier, which means that I was born and raised (and live) in Indiana. Popcorn is our official snack and we are connoisseurs of it, think Orville Redenbacher (fellow Hoosier)! I buy my colonels every fall from the apple orchard; one 1/2 gallon of white and one 1/2 gallon of yellow and mix them together when I get home. Growing up, my dad would fry bacon in a pot, remove it when crispy and then pop corn in the grease. He would then put the popcorn in bowls for us, each one sprinkled with crumbled up bacon goodness! But I digress... My kiddos and I do enjoy our popcorn and I'm always looking for simple ways to cook things and with healthier ingredients so this popper intrigued me when it came up on the 'daily deals' area. I thought I'd give it a shot. Read the instructions, pretty simple, added colonels to the lower fill line, did NOT add any oil (as per instructions), put the lid on as directed, and put it in my microwave. My microwave is an older over-the-range model without the rotating tray inside. I'm sure it is pumping out a little less than the 1,100 watts rating. It didn't take long for the colonels to start popping and I stayed there letting them continue until there were 2 or 3 seconds in between pops, and then pulled out the bowl. None were burnt, almost all the colonels popped and they tasted great! Popcorn takes on the flavor of the oil you cook it in and I usually use corn oil. With this popper they suggest using no oil, or very little. I have only tried it without any oil (the popped corn was a little bland), but I'm sure it will work just as well when I add a small amount of it. I like this popper and recommend it! It makes a little smaller batch than what I typically make in my large skillet, but it is quick and easy to just make another batch.

Magic Popper!
This thing is MAGIC! I love popcorn but know that the microwave kind is not the healthiest snack. I didn't want to deal with the hassle of an air popper taking up space on my counter (or dragging it out and putting it up over and over again). This is the PERFECT solution. I put in some kernels (there are two fill lines marked on the inside of the bowl so no need to measure first), put on the lid, and pop away! I listen for the popping to stop (usually 2-3 minutes). And just that easy I have perfectly popped popcorn with no oil needed! And I mean perfect. I've used it a dozen times already and never had one burned kernel. And I only usually have 2 or 3 unpopped kernels left. The material is easy to wash and collapsible so it would be easy to store if I didn't use it every day. I use the smaller fill line and get around 4 cups of popped corn but you can use the bigger fill line and make double that. This is officially my favorite kitchen gadget!

Don’t miss out on this fantastic popper!
Love love love this popcorn maker. I am one who likes to wait to review items before I’ve given them a lot of use. Well….this popcorn maker is da bomb. I originally bought one for my daughter for in her dorm suite as she is a popcorn lover like me. She loved it so I decided to buy one for myself and use it instead of dragging out my stir crazy every time. So many pros to this maker. It stores flat if you want it to, although mine really doesn’t stay in the cupboard since I use it almost daily as my nightly snack. It states you can put oil in it but doesn’t need it. I tried without the oil and it popped really well but just tasted a bit bland. I found that if I put in 4 tablespoons of kernels and just under 2 teaspoons of oil it is the perfect balance. I use the popcorn button on my microwave. Now I will say I usually do have some I popped kernels. Instructions state that any unused kernels can be put back in popper and in the microwave to finish popping and I have done that from time to time. I’ve never experienced any burnt kernels either. This is a very inexpensive popper and it works fantastically. I have also purchased one for our camper as well!

Better than expected
I really wasn't expecting much for 7.99 and a microwave popper as a diehard real popcorn maker fan but this thing is awesome!! I am so impressed!! I overfilled it my first time and it went everywhere but every kernel popped!! I looked for grannies or old maids and there were none!! I did use a bit of oil and it did wonderful such easy clean up! I have cataracts and I love to read and eat but they have gotten so bad reading is difficult and watching TV and eating is not the same but I had ordered a hard not find movie from eBay and as I settled in to watch I wanted the movie theater expand got this popper out for the first time and was so thrilled with all the popcorn and I used my movie theater liquid seasoning with a Ziploc bag and shook it all up and grabbed my Pepsi and full bag of popcorn and had an amazing in home theater experience thanks to the quickness and ease of this popper!! It took the full 4 minutes but my microwave is old came with the rental and I did use probably too much popcorn but really and I rarely review but I am so impressed I had to share!! If anyone has doubts buy it NOW!! Love love love!! Oh and easy clean quick rinse and done!!

I love this!
This has made popcorn popping so easy! You just put in some popcorn kernels, pop on the lid and throw it in the microwave and hit the popcorn setting (or equivalent depending on your microwave). Out comes nice fresh hot popcorn ready for butter or whatever topping you want. You can eat it right out of the container. I have several air poppers and the popcorn is always chewy and stale textured with them, but this popper has perfect textured popcorn. Light and fluffy with more kernels popped and less waste. I really recommend!

A healthier and easier way to enjoy homemade popcorn
I really love this silicone microwave popcorn popper. It makes enjoying popcorn so much easier, especially when I want a healthier snack option without the guilt of added oils or butter. The best part is that I can make fresh popcorn at home with just popcorn kernels and control exactly what goes into it. It’s simple to use, convenient, and perfect for a quick snack. The silicone material feels durable, and it’s easy to clean after use. I also like that it helps avoid buying pre-packaged microwave popcorn, which often contains extra ingredients I don’t need. This popper is a great choice for anyone who loves popcorn but wants a lighter, more homemade option. Overall, it’s a practical kitchen item that I find myself using often, and I would recommend it to anyone looking for an easy way to make healthier popcorn at home.

Great popcorn everytime
I really enjoy my popcorn popper so far. I wanted to replace my chip addiction with something healthier and cheaper so I decided to eat popcorn when the cravings hit. But taking out a sauce pan and turning on the stove all the time is such a hassle. Then I searched and found this small gadget. It’s amazing how almost each of corns pop. They are really puffy and crunchy. I don’t put oil so there is minimal cleaning as well. Add a bit of salt and you are good to go. Just make sure folloe the instructions on the leaflet so you don’t put more than what’s recommended otherwise they won’t pop fully. I bought high quality organic kernels and I only had 2-3 unpopped one in each batch. Still it comes much more cheaper than a bag of high quality chips. Highly recommended for anyone looking for a fuss free healthy snack.
