what material are these made from?

It’s not as strong as the Lisle hones of old but compared to 90% of this rediculous junk out there it’s by far the best. If durability is your goal then try Snapon or MAC tools.

what is the length of the shaft/arm? I want to use on a shotgun barrel but unsure it is long enough to reach all the way through the barrel.

The shaft is about 6.5” long. The dia across the stones is about .70” so it might fit in a 12 ga. The design is such that an extension could easily be made.

I have a small 2 cycle motor with a 1 3/8 in. bore. Will this go that small?

The packaging says 27/32 - 2". It looks like it will easily go below 1".

Can you tell me what grit (200 is typical )? these are? I am looking for a grit of about 100.

200 is considered fine, 100 is medium,a little too course for stuff like brake cyllinders, i even wrap a piece of 400 grit sandpaper on the hone for the final finish
