Lightweight and Warm!
I bought this coat in a medium size and the cream/ivory color. I wanted it for a family winter outting that would take me from outdoor day fun to inside evening dinner. I layered it with a long sleeve tight shirt with a sweater and added a bulky scarf. I was able to be outside for hours without feeling cold. Temperatures were in the low 40s. It is stylish and comfortable. Easy to move around in, walking, sitting, shopping, etc. I had a little difficulty with starting the zipper but no issues other than that. It is good quality especially for the price! I may get it in black or camel color since it's so cute! I have worn it a few times to work since purchasing. So sitting in the car is comfortable. It is perfect to throw on for generally cold days. Happy with the purchase!

Great jacket
Took in recent trip and it was warm, convenient, pretty. Doubtful to get it back into the small pouch that comes with it but it rolls up nicely into the hood. The only negative is that the zipper is finicky. Some times it is very difficult to get the zipper up.

Ok for Spring/Fall.
This is advertised as lightweight and it certainly is that. It is NOT a winter jacket unless you live somewhere warm. This will work for Minnesota Fall / Spring evenings that aren’t too windy and I like that because I always struggle finding good ‘in between’ jackets that are long enough to cover my backside and have nice hoods. This jacket has both of those assets. I usually wear an XL or size 12-14 in women’s clothing and this fits nicely with room to spare for a layer beneath. Another nice feature is that the zipper goes nice and high to keep your neck warm. You could easily rock a cozy gaiter beneath and keep your neck pretty toasty. I have to say though, this doesn’t have the feel of a sturdy jacket. I dare say it won’t take much more than rubbing up against a tree or something to tear this fabric, so as I am not the most graceful person sometimes, it won’t likely last long. At this price I wasn’t expecting it to be built like my name brand winter gear, but I was a bit surprised at how thin the outer fabric feels. BUT….I’m actively losing weight and hopefully next Fall this thing will be too large and I won’t feel bad about having trashed it while tromping around outdoors. All in all, it’s a decent enough jacket if you are wanting something cozy, lightweight, long and with a great hood. I would imagine that if you lived somewhere with mild winters this could get you by well enough as a winter jacket. For what I paid I’m content and will be busting it out very soon in the mornings to wear to work when the grass starts getting frosty.

Great Long Coat Runs A Little Small
Get this coat. You won’t be sorry!!! I always read the reviews for everything. I shop online mainly. Let me say this - if you want a Northface or Columbia coat or jacket stop here and go get one of those. I have some of those. They are great coats. I wanted a long coat to wear with my long cardigans and NOT look like a fool. Plus we go to a lot of hockey games and by behind gets COLD! I don’t know what idiot said they could see through this coat??? I can’r!?!? I don’t know what crazy person said they would NOT wear this is subzero weather or EXTREMELY COLD weather - why would you unless this is all you have??? Look I lived in the frozen tundra of northern Minnesota and I wouldn’t wear this coat there either. We wore real coats snow pants snow boats wool hats scarves and gloves. SOOOO with all that NONSENSE out of the way THIS IS A GOOD COAT!!! It’s long (longgg on me but I’m short) and very warm. I wear it zipped or unzipped. Here in Tennessee the weather is like the lottery. It’s 20 in the morning and snowing and 60 in the afternoon. The hat is handy when the wind picks up but never in the way. YES me and my daughter managed to STUFF it back in that tiny bag. DON’T DO IT! I’m a veteran packer so we wanted to try. I was afraid we tear the coat. Instead put it in a gallon baggie to pack it or compression bag. I just grabbed on so you can see how it will go in. I also placed a normal sized blender bottle there so you can see the see of the coat and bag. I didn’t even really squeeze the compression bag down. The coat isn’t huge on me but it is big enough to wear a thin shirt with my thicker cardigan under it and still zip it up and I am very comfy. But I will say the coat does run smaller. So order UP! For the money it’s a great coat. Oh and it is not shiny! The material is subdued. I have worn this coat from 10 degrees with little wind to 40s with gusting winds and been plenty warm enough.

Bonus pockets
This is a nice jacket that compresses well, suitable for packing in a suitcase. I do not yet know how well this actually works as it is August and temps are in the 100s here. It is for a European trip this winter. I did notice one feature that I would like to share. The outside zippered pocket protrudes to the inside of the jacket with the inner seam fastened down near the main zipper seam. This creates a sleeve like section on the inside front of the jacket. If the manufacturer had sewn the bottom of this sleeve down it would have created 2 pockets on the interior. I placed a strip of canvas tape at the bottom to create these pockets. I wouldn't trust it to anything heavy or valuable like a phone or wallet, but it does make good pockets for something like gloves.

Overall great jacket -- except for zipper issues
This is such a great jacket, It's lightweight and warm and fits well with layering underneath. I really wish the zipper worked properly though. I sent one back with a defective zipper and had it replaced. The new one was good for a couple days, but now the zipper is having the same issues connecting at the bottom. I'm keeping the second one because I really like the fit and quality of everything else, and the price point was excellent. I'm in Texas though so a short winter, not sure I'd keep if I lived in a colder climate where it would get more use.

Affordable, Functional, and Warm: A Practical Coat for Dog Walking and Everyday Use
I purchased the Amazon Essentials Women's Lightweight Full-Zip Water-Resistant Hooded Puffer Coat - in Burgundy XL And have been wearing daily for 2 months primarily for Dog Walking. I was looking for something affordable, warm, and functional—not too concerned with "cuteness"—and this coat delivers. PROS: QUALITY: solid quality in material and construction. Good zippers and color. Warmth: I've only warn in temperatures between 40-60°F and its defiantly warm enough especially when worn with layers, which works perfectly for my dog walking purpose. But I am sure it would be fine in colder temps too. Its not thick or dense, very light weight. Windproof: sort of... if you wear layer(s) underneath, it does a good job at blocking the wind. Sizing: I did buy big on purpose so as to be able to wear a bulky hoody underneath, and I really could have gone with a large vs XL- the hip / booty area is waaay big on me so you you need a little room there you should be covered! Material: slick fabric does not collect pet hair- big bonus over the fleece jackets. Wrinkles sort of disappear with wear after coming out of its stuff sack. Length: At 5'5", the XL hits just above knees, providing extra coverage and warmth. And when sitting, it's long enough to sit on. Sleeves: Nice long sleeves hit below the wrist, and have slim elastic cuffs that stay in place when pulled over gloves, keeping the warmth in. Pockets: Adequate. The pockets are deep enough to easily hold my phone and gloves. Good enough size Convenient for travel: It comes with a stuff sack, it packs REALLY small, is very light weight which would be great for packing light while traveling, and the coat has a hanging hook which i appreciate- doesn't fall off coat rack. Hood: Has a big hood and is a nice feature for light protection and fits over beanie CONS: Pocket Zipper Pulls: While the small, discreet zipper pulls offer a sleek look, and flattering silhouette, they are difficult to grab, especially with gloves or long nails. This can be frustrating. You will be taking off your gloves. No Inside Pockets: It would be helpful to have inside pockets which I thought it did from the photos. It does not. The actual pocket are just tacked on the inside of the coat and you cold pin or sew them at the bottom to create an inside pocket. No Drawstring on Hood: The hood has no drawstring, so it can blow off in windier conditions. Overall, I would recommend this coat, at the price i paid, I'd buy it again for light warmth, travel, and casual outdoor use or travel. I'm thinking of getting another one in a smaller size as it really could be more "cute" and flattering if I had purchased in my actual size. If you're looking for an affordable, practical option that balances warmth with lightweight design, this is a solid choice.

Super lightweight, easy to pack!
Bought this for my upcoming trip to Alaska. Although, I wouldn’t call this jacket “flattering”, it’s probably not the jackets fault as I am overweight. I got an xxl because I knew I’d be layering and hate to feel stuffed into anything. It’s a bit long, but I’m only 5’2” so again, not the jackets fault. I took the reviews saying that the jacket doesn’t fit into the little bag that comes with it as a challenge which I easily won. Although it IS like putting the baby back in, it only took me about 2 minutes to get in. Come on people, ya gotta fold and roll. I added a video to my review to prove that if I can fit an xxl into the bag, you skinny peeps can definitely fit your s,m and larges into yours. I honestly haven’t worn the jacket yet, so I don’t know how warm it is. I’ll update as soon as I wear it. Overall, I’m pretty happy with my purchase. Kinda want to get the teal one to match my ugly hiking boots. Lol UPDATE: I have worn the jacket. It’s fine. It works the same as any other puffy coat. No warmer or colder. I have to admit that I AM a fan of (according to many other reviews) the hated double zipper. I love that I can unzip the bottom part when I’m walking my dog and my rear still stays toasty. It’s also nice when you sit. So ya. It’s a great value.

Way too thin, but "packable" was a hint that was ignored
Summary: an Item was as shown, the rest was my own fault, ignoring obvious, relying on the title. A coat, fitting in so small bag can't be thick enough for winter use in a cold climate. It's hard to grade it: cut and fit are worth of 5 stars, perfect for athletic figure without much of curves, but incredibly thin fabric and insulation. Maybe good to walk from a door to a car, for a walk in a nice warm weather, or in emergency cases, keeping it in a small bag. No way it can take strong wind chill and freezing rain. I was looking for replacement for a lightweight quilted coat, with proper thickness and insulation, suitable for windy and changing weather at temperatures from +5 to -10C, when winter parka, made for -25C, is too warm, and weather proof mountain jackets are more for sports than for using in the city. Given qualities of this coat, I would rather use casual lined windbreaker with sweater, providing more weather protection. Nice looking, fits well, not fit for intended use.
