TOPENS DPS180-U AC-DC Power Supply

This item works well. I had been operating my topens gate opener from battery power for quite some time but recently the battery failed and I had replaced them with new ones. but the problem was not solved. Every 5 day or so one of the batteries was measuring less than 12 volts and I had to remove the battery and recharge it, then install it. Now the gate opener is operating from the power supply. I am trying to figure out how to attach the battery as stand- by. The instructions in the manual is not adequately explained.

I purchased this product over a year ago along with several other items from Topens. I installed it myself and the hardest part was digging the trenches for the wires. The gate opener worked perfectly for the past year, and I am extremely satisfied. After a year something went wrong and I contacted Emilia at Topens and even though the warranty expired the customer service I received was EXCELLENT! The problem was diagnosed, and I was sent step by step instructions for the repair. Everything is working perfectly again. The repair was completed easily.

Good opener easy to install working great solar installation is great for location with no power close

I purchased a new AT602 Topens electric gate opener on Facebook 3 1/2 years ago. I install the opener on a dual gate I built along with accessories, electric gate lock and HomeLink system. The system worked fine up until April 2026. I opened the control box and found a blown fuse, replaced the fuse and it blew again. I contacted Topens customer service through email and the next day Bella from customer service contacted me. I explained my problems and she gave me multiple things to check. After diagnosing the system, I found that the 24v transformer burned out causing my electric gate lock to short out and blow the fuses. I also thought my circuit board was blown out so I ordered one just incase. I ended up hooking two 12v batteries in series and hooked it to the BAT on the control board. The gate worked but not perfectly. So I emailed Bella again (about the eighth time!) and again she contacted me the next day. she explained that me hooking up the batteries and the gate working it was not the circuit board. They don't sell a new transformer but she offered to send me one from the factory, I asked if the Topens Power Supply would work instead and she said yes it will work. I ordered the power supply and it came the next day ( even though Bella offered the transformer I thought it would take too long to get here) I opened the new power supply and saw that the unit inside the box could fit inside my original control box. So I adapted a 1/4 in thin block of wood to mount the new power supply on and my electric gate opener now works GREAT! Bella was AMAZING at Topens to help me with my gate. Topens has ONE OF THE BEST customer services that I have ever dealt with!! Thank you again Bella for your services.

I ordered this power supply for my Topens A3 Gate Opener. The power supply is an additional option and ordered separately. The opener will also use batteries, solar, etc but since I have power at my gate, this is the best option. Connection to the opener is pretty simple, but the opener control box comes with a power wire attached so you will have to remove that from the + - connections on the control box and connect the one from the power supply. The power supply wires have battery connections, so you will have to cut those off, strip and tin the wires so they will be stiff or you won't be able to get them into the power connection block on the control box. There was no mention of this in the installation instructions. You will need a small flat blade screwdriver.....the screws on the connection block are tiny. Double check to be sure you get the polarity correct. For the life of me I could not figure out how to mount the power supply box.....no tabs and apparently no way to open the box. Again, Zack at Topens Tech Support bailed me out and sent me a couple of pictures which are attached. Duh! Why didn't I see that?? Must be "Old Timers Disease". Anyway, happy with the supply and Topens support.

Solved my problem with little effort

Plug-in power source for my A8 Topens gate opener I installed this new, when I bought my Topens A8 single swing gate opener. Easy to install, has worked flawlessly for the past 5 years and it ample power to run my gate warning light and the gate magnetic lock (installed with a inline relay) I easily found the information online regarding the Topens accessories installation and I also contacted Topens service department and Bella was quick to help out with the installation. I Highly recommended Topens products!

We purchased a Topens A8 gate opener last year. I was initially hesitant to buy something of the sort online but was able to first write to the company to ask questions. Shelley from Topens promptly answered each and every question. With that kind of service I felt more confident placing my order. My gate opener arrived shortly thereafter. And again, Shelley wrote to me to offer any support needed for the installation. It all went very smoothly. It took me 2-3 hours to install the gate opener without any unexpected surprises or frustrations. Throughout the past year, our gate opener has worked very very well for us. Last month I had a question for Topens (to adjust the speed of the gate). Again, Shelley got back to me within a day!! She provided me all the instructions I needed to make the easy adjustment. I typically don't write long reviews of products, but Topens has surprised me with their excellent service over and over. I have no problems writing good things about good companies.

Product show up from amazon shortly after being ordered. Gate opener was easy to install. I ordered the 24V power supply instead of going with batteries. Also then ordered a Homelink adapter so I could open my yard gate with my Goldwing's homelink system. As others have said the only thing I'm not too sure about is how weatherproof the control box actual is,... time will tell, but based on the excellent customer service so far I can't see my self really having any regrets. (My email was replied to with 24hrs and I was asked to get back with any questions to which they try to answer within 24hrs. Very happy with this level of support. :) ) The 4 stars is only because the main control box could have been in a more suitable weather poof box and Its too soon to really know if this will be a issue. -jeff Kincardine Ontario

Another must if your not using the batteries. Great product and easy to install.
