RHA MA450i Noise Isolating, Aluminium, In-Ear Headphone with Remote and Microphone

I'm a on-a-budget audiophile and I find immense joy in finding sweet sub-$100 earbuds.In my opinion, these RHA M4A450i's are definitely NOT one of those finds.Reviews seemed to indicate that these RHA M4A450i:- are pretty to look at—which they are- are sold by a company really honors their 3-year warranty- have solid build quality and sturdy fabric cablingThese are all pluses for sure. Also, I've never seen so many tips come with a set of headphones. Sorta blown away by that.At the end of the day though, I purchase headphones w/mics because- I want my music to sound accurate to their original recordings in the most audibly pleasing and financially feasible way possible- the ability to have phone conversations anywhere and any place is a blessing.I won't judge a pair of headphones until I listen to a decent variety of music so I listened to Adele's "Hello," Ed Sheeran's "Thinking Out Loud," and some good ol' "2:20" rock by Colony House. The RHA MA450i's produced music that, in my opinion, sounded:- way too peaky on the 1k-5k range, especially at 1 kHz. The snare on "Thinking Out Loud" was straight up piercing.- middling in terms of the stereo field, making dual hard-panned L and R electrics from "2:20" somehow sound clashing- pre-EQ-ed to thrust every voice way too forward in every track- lame in representing the behind the lead sounds that make music fun to listen to, like the crunch of an electric or the splash of a snareThe RHA M4A450i's DO NOT deliver though on their promise of "immersive and vibrant," "richly detailed, well balanced sound." That's taken straight from their product details and this product misrepresentation was my main reason for return. It just so happened they didn't sound very good, too.So, conclusion. Are they a serviceable pair of in-ear headphones? Yes. Are they worth the $50-ish price point? No, no, no. Save your money and find something else on Amazon.Hope this review helps y'all fellow audiophiles out there.- Bruce

7/17/15 UPDATE:These replacement headphones are on the blip just like my previous pair. Only one side works unless I depress the jack. Once again they did not last very long, although longer than my first pair, even though I made sure to baby these ones, always storing them in the case and everything. Currently I am filling out a warranty form for RHA's 3 year warranty which was superb last visit, hopefully they will come through this time again.3/5/15 UPDATE:A short two days later, my replacement headphones arrived in the mail, complete with a box and everything. Very satisfied with RHA's customer service and warranty. They sound amazing. If these ones go out again, hopefully I can trust their warranty again3/3/15UPDATE:Just filed for warranty replacement via RHA's customer service line. After a few emails I was informed that RHA were shipping me replacement MA4050i's. Will update after they come through.3/2/15 These don't last. Wonderful sound quality and perfect for listening to classical and jazz. Bass isn't very heavy. While they sound marvelous and svelte for this first 3 months, they deteriorate day-by-day with normal use. Only one side currently works on mine. Disappointing, but while they lasted they were fantastic.

***UPDATE- RHA has sent two new headsets. They no longer have black so sent me two white ones. I've only opened one but it works perfectly and the sound quality is what I'd expect.***UPDATE- RHA has responded to emails and is supposedly sending 2 replacement pairs. I will update accordingly.EDIT: BUYER BEWARE. MULTIPLE REVIEWS SAME EXACT ISSUE. RIGHT SIDE NO SOUND OR SOUND ISSUES.I just opened the 2nd one I specifically ordered for a road trip. The right bud's level is about 1/4 the level of the left. You can only hear out of it if you turn the source up almost all the way.Because I ordered it a few months before using it I cannot return. Not a cheap item to get stuck with. Emailing the company has gotten me no response. I'd think a company with their reputation would want to see why these are the way they are.I will keep trying and will update the review if it gets addressed. Because the other pair sounds amazing.

The fabric wrapping is awesome! Doesn't snag, and if you're in a hurry and not paying attention, it tends to be far more evasive of getting caught in a zipper that it saves itself for you.Only downside to the fabric is it induces a scratching noise from rubbing against clothing. When walking and listening to music, the clip helps and with practice you can work around this.When making calls though be very careful of the chord. If a business call, recommend sitting and be careful not to let the chord brush against anything.Still very happy though as I purchased this primary for music listening and have a history of destroying beloved Sony earbuds in jacket zippers.

UPDATE:Their return policy was excellent, the new ones are working well so far (about 1 month). updating review to 3 stars for now. will try to report more later.ORIGINAL REVIEW:Microphone already took a poop.*Returning them now, will update again with a follow up review after Ive actually had a chance to use them. Geez Louise.Going to give them one more shot. The sound is good, no DEEP bass like some of the reviewers mentioned .. but i like the functionality of the 3 buttons with mic. Hoping against hope that this one was just a lemon.

I materiali sono buoni, anche se si avverte lo strofinio del filo in cuffia, nonostante il rivestimento che dovrebbe isolare. Il suono è pulito ma freddo, questo è a mio parere il peggior difetto di queste cuffie. La gamma sonora è soddisfacente. Ottime possibilità di adattamento grazie al numero e dimensioni degli auricolari forniti. Il filo, nonostante la copertura in nylon, si attorciglia in ogni caso. Cmq il rapporto qualità-prezzo resta buono.

Die Kopfhörer haben einen ausgewogenen und satten Klang. Basslastige Musik wird genauso gut übertragen wie Gesang und hohe Klänge. Für diesen Preis ein exterm guter Klang und auch die Bedienung funktioniert einwandfrei. Die Geräuschunterdrückung ist OK, war für mich aber eher zweitrangig. 2 Sterne deswegen, weil sie jetzt schon das zeitliche gesegnet haben. Kabelbruch trotz sorgfältiger Handhabung ist mehr als ärgerlich.

Ich benutze die Ohrhörer nur noch abends im Bett. Zum Einschlafen sind sie ok weil man sich nicht so viel bewegt. Draussen sind sie nicht zu verwenden. Wenn das mit Stoff überzogene Kabel an der Kleidung reibt übertragen sich die Geräusche. Auch Wind erzeugt enormen Lärm. Ein Telefongespräch ist damit unmöglich, besonders wenn es draussen stattfindet. Mag sein, dass das Kabel robuster ist, aber das nutzt nichts wenn die Klangqualität darunter leidet. Habe mich geärgert so viel Geld ausgegeben zu haben.

J'avoue que je ne saurai "QUE" conseiller ce produit.Qualité sonore très bonne !!!!J'ai acheté un produit équivalent il y a deux années et je l'utilise tous les jours :Un simple mail au SAV sur le site de la marque RHA.Ils me demandent une copie de la facture d'achat Amazon pour prouver ma bonne foie ainsi que mon adresse postale (le produit est garanti 3 ans) et un produit neuf me sera envoyé dans les prochains jours.Je suis juste époustouflé par une telle réactivité (moins de 10 minutes après l'envoi de mon premier mail).D'autres marques seraient bien inspirées de faire pareil... !!!!

Questi auricolari mi hanno soddisfatto in pieno, ottimo rapporto qualità-prezzo e un suono veramente pulito e di alta fedeltà. Ho avuto modo di richiedere successivamente la fattura e mi hanno risposto immediatamente, grazie.
