I make my own vegan candles, and I was in need of a Thermometer for my candles not meat. I really enjoyed this thermometer, it worked very well, telling the accuracy of the liquid temp that I put it in. So I have no clue how well it works in meat but if your looking for a great candle thermometer get this one!

I had one of these before and gave it to my daughter-in-law. I ordered another and was happy to see that the digital numbers are 3 times larger so easier to see, even without my glasses. Yay.

I use one of these by the grill, one in the kitchen, and one in the garage... for cooking, lawn care (soil temps) etc... great product. It is NOT waterproof so be careful when washing it off.

easy to use but the led read out us much smaller than i thought and makes it hard to read. works well otherwise

I have another "Instant-Read thermometer that looks just like the photo, so I thought that they were the same. They are not. This one has a larger box that holds the buttons and display. The display is much larger (which might be helpful for some who like the larger numbers for easy reading). It is rather light weight and I am concerned for its longevity. And it's heard to call this an instant-read. I mostly use it for making sure that hot drinks are of a safe and satisfactory temperature. It takes about twice as long to settle on a reading, and the reading will vary based on how far the probe is placed into the liquid. Also, the temperature that it reads is off by 2 degrees from my other thermometer.

UPDATE:The damn thing still works! 10/10 would recommendWorks wonderful but do not leave in the pit while you’re moving food they are not hear resistant… other one works amazing! Would recommend

Best investment I’ve ever made for under $10! Love this meat thermometer, very accurate, easy to use and has an auto shut off.

Takes 10 to 15 seconds to get up to temperature on a steak. It did not work at all when I first received it, I found that the metal tab that touches the side of the battery wasn't anywhere close to the battery. I needed to bend it in myself for it to work. I would not have minded that shortcoming, but it takes much longer to read temps than my name-brand probe. Too bad, because it is reasonablly accurate.
