I actually bought the backing to make indicators for French/European nymphing and as it is hollow braid is easy do although it does hurt your fingers after a while.I am quite impressed with the braid and would certainly use it as fly line backing on my reels.Highly recommended.

Although this material is intended as fly-line backing, if you are into fishing with a fixed line and a fly, this works very well as a fishing line with Tenkara-type rods: just add a leader and some tippet and floatant and away you go.  This is much cheaper than regular floating line, as well as being lighter.  Of course, it also works perfectly if used for its original purpose too.
