All metal construction with excellent finish. I like that they came with two mounting plates to accommodate different size speakers. My speakers and entertainment center are white so these stands accent one another. Heavy duty for heavier speakers.

In search of an ideal support for my MA Bronze 100 bookshelf speakers, I faced the challenge of finding a balance between budget constraints and stability requirements. Excellent stands, excellent finish, perfect height, extra feature for Kanto speakers but will work with all.These stands are very sturdy and provide a great platform for any size speaker. The stands come with two sizes of top platform and have holes to mount Kanto's own speakers via a 1/4-20 bolt. I currently have a set of Jamo S803 bookshelfs in white on top of of these stands and the whites match very well. With the largest plate on, the speakers hang off about an inch front and back, but the plate hangs out about one half of an inch on each side. The small mount will be hidden by these speakers, but use double sided tape for extra stability.I don't believe Kanto does not explicitly say that these stands are fillable for extra weight, but I will tell you that they are indeed fillable with a simple assembly change, as follows. The bases are a heavy slab of metal with a separate plastic finishing piece that completely covers the top and sides of it. NOTE: Face the label on the bases so its visible so the feet screw in properly and easily. The center shaft that runs to the top plate is an oblong shape. Both the base plate and cover have cutouts, on one side of the oblong shape, to run cables through. To seal the bottom so that the shaft can be filled, simply rotate the inner base plate 180 degrees so the cutouts don't line up. Pay attention that the cutout on the cover plate and the 45 degree cutout at the top of the shaft are both facing the same side, the back. The inner base plate's cutout will be facing the front, but the cover plate will hide it. You'll see when you put it together. I was able to fit 4ish pounds of long grain rice in each shaft. You will be able to fit more sand than rice, weight wise, but sand is a pain to clean up if it gets tipped over on accident.

For the price, these are about what I expected maybe ever so slightly less than I’d imagined. That said, I recommend them wholeheartedly at this price and as they are. The couple of things that kept these guys from being an easy five stars were 1) the alignment of the outer metal relative to the inner metal. I’m not really sure how else to say it, but I felt like multiple times no matter what I adjusted, screwed, tamped, or twisted, the base of one stand was just not going to be as neatly centered over its inner “metal core thingie part” as the other stand. By no means a dealbreaker at this price point, but something you notice and probably one of those things that keeps them at said price point AND 2) they should ABSOLUTELY spring for better hardware. I was hand tightening, devoutly, yet I still had the head of one of the “positioning” screws snap clean off and get launched as I was securing the speaker base to the tube section. There will necessarily be SOME force involved in constructing speaker stands by the very nature of their job description. My buddy bought a pair of these at the same time and I found out he too broke off the same screw head and also ended up stripping a screw or two. Well, It turned out customer service is awesome. They were fast, communicative, and helpful, plus I asked if they might send me a couple of extra screws when I reached out about replacements for the one I broke AND because they sent me a nice handful I was able to help my buddy get back in the fight. So, probably it’s a 3.5 star review with customer service making it a 4. I recommend.

I needed stands for my speakers and wanted to hide the speaker wire. Since I have an open concept living room, this was important to me. Most of the wire is hidden under my area carpet. Getting it from there to the speaker was the challenge. These stands solved that problem. They were easy to assemble and do a great job hiding the wires that were easily threaded up the inside of the post. I am very pleased with them. I covered the back of my speakers with vinyl for aesthetic purposes. There is a slight bulge where the wires come out of the stand to connect to the speaker, but they are hidden. You only see a small segment of wire from the floor. My lamps show more wire than my speakers!
