Great descriptions and photographs. Couldn't see the point of the cataloguing system used which contained some errors. A very comprehensive guide and very useful to collectors.

I borrow this book from my Town Library from time to time and frequently make photocopies of the pages that interest me. I have a number of these pages stapled together. As a professional portrait photographer, I use Nikon F and F2 cameras and the non-AI series of lenses several times a week. When I see a lens advertised that interests me, I consult the 'pages' to glean important data about it's specifications. I find the data on lens hoods and the various interchangeable heads invaluable. I had the chance to buy this book new some years ago when buying a Nikon F with the legendary 105mm f2.5 lens. I wish I had bought it!Digital? yes its OK for those who like fiddling about and looking at 'menus' but professionals avoid fiddling as it looks amateurish. If, like me, you enjoy using the older Nikon cameras and lenses and find them to be not only reliable but bulletproof, then this is the book for you. Buy it while you can.

One of the definitive books to have for any would be or active collector of Nikon gear. Full of useful technical information on everything produced up until the books publication. Highly recomend.
