LaneyMINI-ST-Lion Battery Powered Stereo Guitar Amp with Smartphone Interface, Blue

Wanted to wait until I have thoroughly tested this amp and played it a while checking out its features. I am very happy with it and think its going to serve well for my needs. I'm not in a band so mostly play solo but do jam occasionally w/ friends. After a couple months here's my 2 cents worth:PROS:* Sound is great! Stereo 3" speakers sets this above the mono mini amps*Drive is just right for rockin' and the delay is truly impressive for easy jamming - lots of good control to tweak these tones.* The LSI is so stinkin' fun! Its actually the reason I bought this over others. I run TONEBRIDGE thru my old iPhone 6S and its a blast. Also I play my iTunes music through this phone using the aux in and am super happy with the portability, volume and the quality*Impressed how long the 6 AA Alkaline batteries last*headphone jack works OKOVERALL: A W E S O M ECONS:* It lacks an LSI cable for the lightning port of my iPhone Xr. Contacted Laney and they said i'd have to buy an adapter. Sheesh! Really? Throw in an additional cable for Apple players!* It lacks an AC adapter (which I knew before buying). Amazon offers one for about $22. Other mini-amps come with AC adapters. Most people playing this are near a power source. Throw one in and bump your price a bit, right?* I jack my

Wouldn't work with just batteries.

The sound is amazing for the size of the amp, it’s loud for a small apartment (which I really like) so I think it’s perfect for a quick gig at a park or somewhere without a plug nearby.I loved it as soon as I played. It was exactly what I was looking for. 10/10. Now if you’re looking for a studio sound or an amp for a concert of course this it not the item you should buy. This amp it’s a great tool for a casual player that wants a great quality sound without expending hundreds.

The tone out of this little amp is amazing. There is a latency issues that is built into the android operating system that will make tonebridge app unusable but that isnt really a Laney issue. I would definitely recommend this little amp for anyone that is looking for a little jam amp for the kitchen table.

I was very excited to try this little amp so I could use the Tonebridge app. Unfortunately when using the app it sounded terrible. Screeching feedback, very muddy lows, and chords sounded really bad. Not very loud either even for a mini amp. I’m returning this and going with the mini Boss Katana.

I would have went with a 5 star rating but I had trouble getting it to work with the Tonebridge app and a newer iPhone with a lightning port. I discovered all lightning to mini jack adapter cables are not created equal. You must use an adapter cable that is TRRS (tip,ring,ring,sleeve). If Laney would have bothered to mention this it would have saved me a headache.

i was really surprised that the sound was exactly what i was looking for from all the big amps i have. tone,overdrive ! and not that fake over the top sound . i recomend it for practise and i think you can use it for a home recording . also .

Hey Amazon the D’addario power supply you “suggest” won’t work with this product, the polarity is reversed and it doesn’t provide enough current!Most of the stuff I buy from Amazon warehouse has been pretty good deals…this one was a dud till I worked it over.My unit had more than 7 cold solder joints, and a solder bridge between two adjacent pads. This yielded a really obnoxious hum even on batteries. Probably why it was returned the first time.(Quality control???) Once I went through it, it was pretty decent sounding.Note: I decide to fix this hot mess rather than send it back and disappoint somebody else….your welcomeFYI: No power supply ships with these, and it’s really difficult to find linear (“non Switching” 12Volt wall warts for effects and mini amps for a reasonable price).In my opinion, This amp sounds better if you port the back panel ( I knocked out the plastic hand pocket and Reglued the Tolex.This model is a Clean to tweed sound with the gain turned upI have ordered parts to build a small regulated supply into the amp.I use it on my work bench for basic function testing guitars, and it’s handy for remote use, ( instead of dragging a combo out to the patio).

My gripe is minor, but the lack of a top handle is a point deduction. There is a recessed area for one’s fingers to grasp along the top-rear edge of the amp, but this isn’t very secure feeling. Also, I didn’t like that the mesh speaker cover fell out when I inverted the unit to insert batteries. I put it back in place and now that it’s seated firmly, hasn’t moved. But that was a bit troublesome right out of the box. If it happens again, I’ll simply put a bit of glue along the inside of the mesh housing and that’ll be that.The sound is full enough, given the driver size, and the addition of the overdrive switch allows for some heavier tones. The clean sound with a touch of the delay is quite nice. I may even try recording with this thing, just for fun!If you’re on a budget, and looking for battery power, this is a good one. I later purchased the AC-DC power adaptor for in-home use. Note that it does NOT come with an AC wall adaptor, this is a secondary purchase!

le son et super , j'installe une pédale derrière et sa sonne de dieu , on n'a du volume et très pratique à prendre en voyage pour bossé sur sa gratte , rien à dire j'aime bien , je regrette pas l'achat , merci bonne journée

Superb little travel amp, everything you need for practicing at home or away, great sound quality with that vintage look, highly recommended.

The media could not be loaded.  I‘m very pleased with the amp, it sounds great and it looks good, the video is with the amp alone, the delay function sounds also amazing!!

Es exactamente que necesitaba. Un amply que suena bastante decente y que puedo usar con pilas. Compre unas pilas recargable y estoy mas que contento. 4-5 dias enseñando por aproximadamente 4-5 horas al dia sin parar y d3 fábula. Para poner algo crítico es el precio y la app para android. Se ve algo caro y la app para android esta incompleta. Si tienes un aparato con IOS ya te da mas cosas para editar y conseguir un tono mas de tu gusto. Pero como digo este amply es para ensayos , no para biscar un tono bonito para grabarEn fin lo recomiendo
