samey samey.zzzzzzz
L think they need to change the old formula (inject some interesting plots) , l personally missed Dwayne (l did,nt find the new female replacement good) , sadly some of the episodes were boring hard to watch (to boorrring) ,yawn.even the actors are leaving the show .

A bit of lighthearted and enjoyable escapism!
We really like this series as there is nothing objectionable in them and they are enjoyable “ who done it” puzzles to solve! The characters are likeable especially Ardal O’ Hanlon and the scenery is beautiful! No wonder, British actors queue up to go there! It is a bit of lighthearted escapism!

It compliments the others.
So entertaining. A different background, a beginning, a middle and end. With a twist, Makes a change not to have any violence, swearing and hardly any blood showing. It is just entertainment.

Nice lightweight drama
Nice lightweight funny sit-crime, despite the departure of Danny John-Jules the show is still watchable. It is not as good as previous series have been because of his character was a staple from episode 1 of series 1, but a nice bit of frothy Caribbean crime. An ideal for escape from the British winter, still a good watch, but not as persuasive a team dynamic as under Ben Miller and then Kris Marshall, but after 8 series you do get a little written out.

A great series.
Have watched this series from the start, all the way up to series the collection 9. All though I have seen no 9 on the TV last year i only just recently got the no 9 collection together with my other 8.The only leading star was the first DIS (sorry forgot his name) who I never really like in the roll much to wooden and stiff necked for me. The others no problem with , as to the other crew brilliant. I enjoy in watching and looking at the lovely country side through out and the sea arrrr lovely wants me to go out there( sadly I dont like flying so no chance.

Pleasant, relaxing and still enjoyable
So, it IS the same formula, but not a bad thing. The scenery, the colourful costumes, the music and the humour are still alive and well on the island. There is not much - if any - swearing, not too much blood and body parts, embarrassing sex scenes, convoluted plots ( I often had to watch Morse, Endeavour, Lewis and Vera twice before the penny dropped ) but just a pleasant whodunnit with the usual red herrings, twists and turns, and the wonderfully astute and reliable Don Warrington. Not forgetting the hard working and intuitive inspector with his Irish brogue. I could manage another series, and give this one four and a half stars.

BBC Series 8 in popular sunny island light hearted whodunnit
If you have seen the show then you know what to expect. If not, then start with the first series and get each one. This is series 8. In a sunny Caribbean island a fish out of water British-Irish police detective has to do a stint at solving the murders. The suspects are eccentric. The settings beautiful. The locals lazy but loveable with kindness and humour. The whodunnits lead to the classic circle at the end. Feelgood relaxed escapism. Great acting.
