A best-in-class blower. The powerful PB-580T backpack blower features a new and improved tube-mounted throttle grip and vented back pad for all-day comfort. It’s the perfect partner for professionals staring down a long, exhausting to-do list Review: This thing is a beast of a blower - I'm very impressed with this machine. I had borrowed my neighbor's Echo blower and was beyond satisfied with its performance. I decided to buy my own since I have a lot of leaf blowing to do. This one is even more powerful than my neighbor's unit. It is a little heavier I think but just wow this thing is strong. What took me 3+ hours with my old electric blower, and 1 hour with the borrowed Echo, took less than half an hour with this one. I'm not surprised at all, I have had lots of experience with Echo products. My first chain saw was an Echo that lasted almost 40 years cutting 2-3 cords every year. Currently also have an Echo weed eater and a newer Echo chain saw. Every one of them is very, very reliable and work exceptionally well. Review: Bad to the bone - I purchased this thing a few years ago and I use it literally every day for my work. Other than normal maintenance this thing has been a beast! I love it!! Echo is about the best in yard machines anyway...in my opinion.

Very pleased.
I’ve had a Husqvarna backpack for 20 years. I recently borrowed my neighbors as I was out of gas and didn’t want to run to the store. I now have this in my shed. I couldn’t believe how much stronger it was than mine. Shocking powerful. It will rip up your grass and blow the rocks out of my landscaping if I’m not careful. It assembled easily and starts first pull. Very happy with this thing.

Man this thing blows
The instructions otoh suck but I got it sussed out and assembled. Fired up nicely and I got more work done on the first 2-hr outing with it than I did previously in 2 days. I was given a Ryobi hand held that is a pita to throttle and which broke almost immediately dousing my pants leg with fuel. I’ll fix and keep it for light duty jobs but this backpack was a very good investment for me. I’m 73 with a great deal of trees around my house, I need to keep the fuel down in there and this thing is going to make that work far, far easier. I use echo lubricant in all my 2-strokes because it’s superior to all others I have tried. It includes fuel stabilizer.

Glad I didn't over-buy
Being a man I went right to the top of the line ECHO blower, the most powerful ever, it will blow over your windmill. But it was heavier and much louder than this one. I saw that this one wasn't much less powerful so I watched some videos reviewing it and watched it moved leaves, dry and wet and listened to the owners. I was pretty confident when I pushed BUY IT NOW and I haven't regretted it since. So much better to have the motor on your back, btw, you're just swinging around this light plastic tube so you're not killing your wrist/arm with all the weight there. I was avoiding any 2 cycle engines b/c I hate mixing the gas/oil, but there are 6 packs of oil from Echo that are exactly the right measurement that you just dump into the gas. Get yourself a 1 gallon gas can if you want it really easy. This blower considerately circulates air around your back so you don't get that sweat spot on your back. By the time autumn is over, it might even fix your posture.

Echo PB-580T 58.2 CC Back Pack Blower with Tube Mounted Throttle, 510 CFMGY#583-4 6-DFG29
The unit is comfortable to use and is lightweight. The instructions - images were not so easy to understand and could be made better. The power output is ok for simple residential use but you are going to need more power for heavier leaf blowing and clean up. Overall, for home use - I would rate it an 8/10 for price and weight.

Buyer beware!
I bought this when it was on sale. It was during the winter so I didn’t get a chance to use it until the following summer. I end up having to order another one because the first one was lost in shipping.. The box was received damaged. This is my second echo blower. My first one worked great never had any problems. This one is very hard to start. My first one was temperamental, but I had a system that it always started. This new one is a pain in the butt all the time. During the first use the fuel tank started leaking on my back as I was running it. I’m not sure if it was delivered leaking or possibly cracked during use. The engine has some springs on it so if you’re not paying attention when you’re pulling the starter rope, the actual engine will lift up and jam on top of the fuel tank. That could’ve been how it cracked or it was delivered that way not sure. Once you get it running, everything works like it should. I called about the warranty, but I was told I’d have to pay for the initial cost of looking at it and they would pay for the parts but the tank was only $20 and I wasn’t gonna go through all that hassle I just bought it myself and installed it. It was a pretty easy install. Because of the amount of money I spent on it I’m just dealing with it.
