I loosend the set screw, replaced the soldering nib with the stamp then retitghtend the set screw. This worked, but I wish I would have spent a little more and got one with temperature control. The problem is that it can get too hot when stamping leather. So I heat it up to about 130F then unplug the iron. I also use a piece of foil over the leather to keep from getting the stamp dirty since I was stamping finished/colored leather. If you use this method make sure to practice on some scrap. **Q: 2 Questions: 1. Does it have a hole on the back to add a handle and 2. Can it be heated over a flame to stamp leather. Thank you** A: There is a threaded hole in the back to add a handle. Who knew this was such fun and now my clothing looks like super high end bespoke. I plan to create an insignia and order more.
