I searched long and hard for string lights that met all of my criteria:- Bulbs spaced 2' apart- 50' strands- Dimmable LEDThere are surprisingly few options, as just about every offering has 3' bulb spacing and 48' strands. I was really excited to find this product that not only meets my criteria, but exceeded it by 4' - it’s a good thing because it turns out that my installation needed every bit of the extra length!I opted to plug these into a porch light fixture and installed a Lutron wall switch dimmer to control them (https://www.amazon.com/dp/B006UTQCA2/). In the photo with the lights illuminated they are about 50% dimmed. At 100% they are *very* bright. I could see myself using full brightness if entertaining, maybe, but for just sitting outside at night having a drink I prefer them dimmed to 50%. They dim smoothly with no flicker. The soft color is perfect.I used cheap conduit (painted black and cut to length) to support the strings on one end and used screw hooks into the house on the other. The included black zip ties were used to fasten the strings to the poles (through which I drilled a hole) and to the screw hooks.I like that the bulbs are plastic because it keeps the strings lightweight, and I’m hopeful that they'll hold up well to sleet and ice. Only time will tell if they will withstand extended UV exposure.The cord length from the plug (which is 2-prong) to the first bulb is perfect. The strands lock together securely and their fuses are easy to access.Anyway, I am very pleased with this purchase!

So far, so GREAT. It’s only been a week or so since my installation, so I can’t speak of the longevity. But I can speak to how awesome these guys look. I used them for a covered patio (which is giant). The 52’ only covered 1/2 with a 90 degree bend but I did that deliberately. The light they give off at night perfectly lights up the entire patio without glaring blinding light. Literally every night since I put them up, I go outside just to enjoy the patio lighting. Super heavy duty wiring. Nice looking plastic bulbs with LED filament. My wife inadvertently hit the lights pretty good with a ball the other night. No problem at all. Took the hit like a champ. I plan on stringing some over the pool next and I’ll absolutely use the same brand. Love them. I’ll update this review later after they’ve seen some extended use.For my application, I used Alumahooks and Command adhesive clips. People talk smack about the command adhesive clips but they are super strong and worked perfectly for this application.

The media could not be loaded.  We purchased 4 sets of the 52 ft shatterproof string lights to hang from our porch across the pool. My husband purchased a cable kit additionally to complete the project. I was somewhat nervous to see the lights when they arrived. Since they aren’t made of glass which I preferred over the pool, I wanted them to look good, and not cheap. Well, to my surprise they look great! The bulbs are a nice size, not too big, not too small. You really can’t tell that they’re made of plastic unless you’re holding it in your hand. They actually sparkle beautifully in the sunshine. If I were to voice a complaint, it would be that they are brighter than the photos represented by the seller. The bulb material is clear, and when lit they are more white than warm white or ambient yellow. We installed a dimmer purchased separately, but even on the lowest setting they are still more white. I do enjoy them, but wanted to point out that they aren’t what’s shown in the photos.Overall this was a good purchase. Time will tell how durable they are. We live in Texas. Our pool gets all day sun from East to West. Temperatures can top out in the triple digits, in the summer, get below freezing in the winter, hail, high winds, and tornadoes are common occurrences here. I’m hoping they hold up during weather extremes as the company states, and that they don’t yellow from the UV rays.

I was looking for patio lights that were LED, had plastic bulbs, were closer than 3’ apart and could be dimmed if desired. These lights have the features and amount of lighting desired (not too much, not too little) but have some quality control issues. The bulbs differ in hue with some more amber than others. The real complaint was the insulation on one of the cords. It would appear to me that at some point in the manufacturing process there is a place where the insulation is spliced. Unfortunately the splice was not good and it left two places where the internal wiring was exposed. I ordered 2 sets and did not find any issues with the cord on the other set. Outside of than these 2 complaints the lights are nice and worth trying since it is hard to find these features, just make sure to inspect well.
