Love the fact that you can access Amazon's video content and it does stream video well. Also on the plus side: It's marvelously responsive to touch, it has a slick look and feel, vibrant graphics and the price is right. Like the 7" size which fits nicely in a handbag or backpack.But: hate the lack of productivity type apps like those available both in the Apple and android marketplace. Apps with automatic sync for calendars and contacts are desperately needed to make the Fire an everyday tool. It's a shame that it will not use Google marketplace Apps. Also really dislike the home page carousel which allows virtually no customization and organization. It also needs an SD storage slot for people who travel and don't always have wifi at the ready. Can't do much if you're on a ship or sitting in an airport with a weak wifi signal, and haven't been able to download content in advance.In the end, I'm still looking for a moderately priced 7" tablet, but because of the fun features and price, decided to regift the Fire to my granddaughter. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Kindle Fire H.D. *by R***R on Reviewed in the United States 🇺🇸 on January 9, 2013* I absolutely love, love, love my Kindle Fire H.D. I thought that I would miss the feel of a "real" book, but that hasn't been the case at all. In fact, I am reading more than ever because of the easy portability of my Kindle. The ability t adjust the page...style and size of font, contrast, etc., makes for comfortable reading. It's no problem if I forget my reading glasses, because I can just enlarge the font until I can read without effort. There are many benefits beyond reading associated with the Kindle. There are lots of games, for me and my 4- year- old grandson both. Having full access to my email while out and about is a real plus, especially while travelling. Web access is awesome to have as well, without toting a laptop computer especially...I simply carry my Kindle in my purse. I am not computer- savvy, but with time I have learned to use the Kindle quite easily. I do wish that the Kindle came supplied with a hard copy of basic instructions, though. I am disappointed in the camera aspect of the Kindle, because the camera's "eye" looks back at me, rather than out at the world...I guess it's designed for use with Skype or YouTube or the like. I know that there are apps I haven't explored yet, and I am excited to do so. Again, my Kindle Fire H.D. is the best gift I have ever received...thanks to my kids!!! ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Was a great little book for free! *by D***A on Reviewed in the United States 🇺🇸 on April 12, 2012* I got this as a free book and it has been very useful. Would I spend 10 bucks on it - probably not as most of the stuff is in other places, but there are a few things that it helped me out with that I needed to find and wanted at once. It was nice having it right on my Kindle and handy to use. Not sure why it is a for fee book now - commercialism at its best I guess.
