It does ship from India but the packaging service is very well updated and provides all the information you need. My tapestry came two days earlier than I expected which is amazing. The color is even MORE vivid and beautiful in person. It does have a bit of an odd smell maybe from the dyes or the long travel but it's not overbearing and easy to ignore or wash out. The packaging was a simple plastic usps bag. I'm not sure how to explain it but its nothing complicated. The tapestry is not heavy it is lightweight but very well crafted. I feel that you get so much more than what you pay for. If you're considering buying this DO IT!
