Price seems high 'just for a dog collar' but this is really special and you have to pay for quality. With proper care, ( ie avoid sea water and nourish with leather treatment regularly) this should last my 12 month old Labrador the rest of her life. Looks good on her and she loves it, wears it all day every day, comes and offers her head up each morning to have it slipped on, much kinder than a plain check chain. I'm very pleased indeed. It would be helpful to have had max - min sizes for choice of collar instead of just max - made it difficult to choose the size for my still growing German Shepherd. I bought the 24inch which is still a little bit but he will grow into it. Another thing which would much improve this collar would be the addition of a metal ring to hang a (now legally required) name/details tag on. If you hang it on the chain attachment loop its likely to get worn off.
