Goof Off No Scent Rust Stain Remover 1 Spray

I wanted to get a large rust stain off some vinyl siding and shingles below the siding. Apparently this property had issues with an attic air handler in the past and dripped rust laden water down the side of the house. I have had less than inspiring results from rust removal products in the past. I bought this on Amazon after reading some reviews and checking out some plausible YouTube videos. Anyway, I bought a spray bottle and filled it with this stuff. As I began spraying the siding, I saw immediate signs that things were working. I got all the rust saturated, and let it sit and work for a few minutes. Came back for a second pass with a reloaded spray bottle. With the new spray, much of the rust staining was washing completely off. I came back for a third pass with the spray bottle. This time the last remnants of the stains washed completely off. I had been spraying the stained shingles along with the siding. With each pass, the stain faded more deeply. By the end, nearly all of the staining was gone from the shingles, except one or two where the staining was heaviest. I declared victory. I then refilled the spray bottle with water, and hit all the siding and shingles, on the outside thought that the HF and oxalic acids might do something to the siding and shingles if I left it on there. This was probably not necessary but... The whole thing took me maybe half an hour, once I got a stubborn window screen out to get access. So many times I have bought a chemical product to solve a problem, and gotten mixed results at best. In this case the product worked as well as I hoped, and much better than I expected.

I have recommended this product to countless friends and family. It removes hard water, rust, stains without fail. A word of caution, however.. if you have terra-cotta flooring, take care not to spill on it, because it will discolor. Aside from that; this product is pure perfection.

Works super fast too. No scrubbing was done, sprayed on then rinsed off a while later. Couldn’t be easier. We tried everything to get this stuff off the siding including house wash, pressure washer, various acid products and nothing did much. I’ll do another application and a light nylon brush on the remaining parts but so far this is better than advertised.

This product is by Goof Off. I wanted something that would remove rust stains on my concrete sidewalk. The rust stains were from my gardener using fertilizer with iron and then not sweeping the sidewalk. This product worked really well for what I would call light rust stains. On the heavier rust spots didn’t work so well.. I guess I will try Muratic Acid on those spots.

This stuff is AMAZING. I tried another product and after 30 minutes of scrubbing and using half a bottle got a slightly faded area that you can see on the right hand upright in my first before picture. I couldn’t stand the thought of having to do this for the entire arbor. Enter RustAid and HOLY COW! I sprayed it on and literally 10 seconds later the stains were gone. The before and after photos were taken less than 15 minutes apart, and that includes time for a good rinse off. My arbor went from looking quite nasty to BRAND NEW. I couldn’t have been more delighted.

We use this on our white vinyl fence and sidewalk from being stained from our automatic sprinklers. Our water has a lot of iron in it and turns stuff orange and it looks terrible. We put this in a mosquito sprayer and the rust stains go away in seconds before your eyes. It’s never damaged our white fence over all the years we’ve used it. Our whole town uses it now after I posted it on the city’s fb page that I run. It’s a miracle worker out of everything we’ve ever tried! We buy like 4 bottles a year.

It works really well! I used it in the bathroom not long ago to get some rust stains out the sink, the shower and the bathtub. I know it says outdoor, but it works fine indoors too! Love it! This is my go to rust remover now. Highly recommend!

So I had a brand new, extremely expensive deck put on my home, made from pvc and it is light grey. After a while I noticed these orange spots on certain areas and a few larger spots in the center under the table and chairs. It was driving me crazy trying to figure out what it was and why it was there! I scrubbed, used chemicals and basically gave up trying to remove it. Come to find out, the table and chairs were metal and had these little holes on the bottom which would leak rust and the wind was blowing it all over!! So I bought this product and all I did was rub it on with a sponge where the orange spots were, with very minimal effort. I waited a few minutes and sprayed it off with the hose. All the orange stains that drove me out of my mind were completely gone!! Thank you thank you for this product!
