The first one lasted about ten years and only needed replacement due to my mistake. Last spring I stored it on the floor in the back of my garage and mice ruined it. I immediately ordered a new one and was shocked that it was still about the same price as a decade ago. It is easy to use, costs next to nothing to run I love it. Review: My 1973 corvette convertible stored with top down - I keep my 1973 corvette convertible stored in the car capsule with the top down, it is always clean, free of bugs, leaves, trash, no mice or rats can build nests in car because they can't get in!!!!! A MUST HAVE for anyone that wants to keep their car stored clean and worry free from dirt, leaves, bugs, trash, rain drops, leaking roof, anything, its protected and fan keeps blowing all the time keeping moisture and humidity out of bubble keeping your car rust free and dry, Do NOT store your car without one of these, and you can lean your whole body weight on the capsule and it does not cave in, throw a hammer at it, (nothing sharp) and it just bounces off. 100% recommend this product. I have sold the car, but it was great to have while storing it. ## Features - It's easy to order the correct size Simply measure your car from bumper to bumper and from outside of tire to outside of opposite tire, add 6 inches to your overall length and this is the correct size you will need to order - The bubble is made from durable 10 millimeter double polished PVC with radio frequency welded seam that protects against accidental damages - The basemat is made from 18 millimeter PVC that is mildew, abrasion, flame resistant and also impervious to oil, gas, and antifreeze - Heavy-duty 100% nylon coil zipper to prevent scratching - Overall Size 18ft - 216inx78inx68in (Length x Width x Height) ## Technical Specifications | Specification | Value | |---------------|-------| | ASIN | B004642U4U | | Automotive Fit Type | Vehicle Specific Fit | | Best Sellers Rank | #904,309 in Automotive ( See Top 100 in Automotive ) #1,617 in Full Exterior Covers | | Brand | CarCapsule | | Brand Name | CarCapsule | | Color | Black | | Compatible with Vehicle Type | Car | | Coverage | accidental damages | | Customer Reviews | 4.2 out of 5 stars 57 Reviews | | Fit Type | Vehicle Specific Fit | | Global Trade Identification Number | 00857088003030 | | Item Dimensions | 216 x 78 x 68 inches | | Item Weight | 48.3 pounds | | Manufacturer | CarCapsule | | Manufacturer Part Number | CC18 | | Manufacturer Warranty Description | Guaranteed for one year against all defects in workmanship and materials. | | Material | Pvc, Nylon | | Material Type | Pvc,Nylon | | Model Number | CC18 | | UPC | 857088003030 | | Ultraviolet Light Protection | Anti UV | | Vehicle Service Type | Car | | Water Resistance Level | Waterproof | ## Product Details - **Brand:** CarCapsule - **Color:** Black - **Coverage:** accidental damages - **Fit Type:** Vehicle Specific Fit - **Global Trade Identification Number:** 00857088003030 - **Item dimensions L x W x H:** 216 x 78 x 68 inches - **Material:** Pvc,Nylon - **Ultraviolet Light Protection:** Anti UV - **Vehicle Service Type:** Car - **Water Resistance Level:** Waterproof ## Images ![CarCapsule 18 Foot Indoor Inflatable Car Cover and Storage - Image 1](https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/314GGJmgddL.jpg) ## Questions & Answers **Q: how much electricity does it use??** A: I have three capsules and didn't notice any change in electric bill. **Q: I can use this outside? Thanks** A: Car Capsule makes one for outside - I don’t believe you can use this one. Check their web site. **Q: Would it be better to put a dehumidifier in it too restrict mold?** A: I had tons of water and mold in the outside model in only a few wonths. The inside might be OK, especially if you live somewhere dry. I'd definitely keep an eye on things if you live in a humid area, irreversible damage was done to my car in just 2 months, corrosion, rust and mold. **Q: I just bought this it has not arrived yet, my question is: Does this prevent Mouse and rodent intrusion? has anyone had an issues with rodents?** A: We bought this to keep out mice also, which had previously destroyed the wiring. It did prevent any intrusions of mice and also no dust. The little fan keeps the car capsule blown up continuously. We had it on for 6 months. We are very please with this product. ## Customer Reviews ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ It's a great cover and easy to use *by K***Y on November 8, 2023* I have owned two of these covers.
