Using plaster magic may cut you repairs in half, or more.
Plastic Magic is awesome stuff. I used for first time in 2017, and the work turned out very nice. If I didn’t have photos to show, no one would believe me. The difference after repairs to the old plaster and being able to renovate and recondition the loose plaster with ease is incredible. No one can find today where the loose plaster was, the plaster is now all well bonded to the lath and the walls I repaired are very solid. I just had to use it again in the second apartment of my duplex. It’s awesome and easy to use. The photos tell it all.

Works well, challenging to use on ceiling though, and you will run out of material fast
UPDATE 2: DON'T BUY this specific kit! If you need three tubes of adhesive, buy three of the "starter pack" kits which will only be only $5 more and you will get 3x more clamps and conditioner! UPDATE: Here are some tips to make the most of the tubes of adhesive, using these techniques will let you get a lot more repairs done vs. material used/wasted. It takes some practice to get the hang of it, I blew through two tubes of adhesive really fast before I got the process dialed in. 1) Cut the tip to make the smallest hole possible. The glue is very runny and a large opening is NOT needed and will waste material. 2) Hold the caulk gun with two hands, one on the trigger and one holding the tube TIGHT against the wall. Otherwise you can easily over-dispense by pushing the caulk tube against the wall (causing it to press back against the plunger). 3) After filling a hole, before you pull the caulk tube away, release any tension on the plunger to avoid blow-back and waste of material. This kit works nicely as advertised, I would recommend it. I use this kit on a ceiling and have some notes for others: 1) Put down plastic dropcloths and prepare to make a huge mess. The spray bottle will rain down the sticky conditioner all over you and the floor. 2) The sprayer is hard to use on the ceiling since the little intake straw is meant to use in a normal vertical orientation. If I was going to use this again I would try to rig up some kind of tube jammed into the spray nozzle so I could hold the bottle upright. 3) The adhesive in the caulk tubes is very runny, like yogurt, you will get it all over the place just like the conditioner. It's easy to dispense WAY too much adhesive since it's so runny, take it slow. 4) You will likely need way more of all of the supplies than you think. I only fixed about three small areas of a 12x12 foot room with this kit and have to do it over the course of a couple days to re-use the anchors in different spots. Too bad it's so expensive for such a small quantity.

Take your time and get plaster snugged up to lath before proceeding
I used one tube on a ceiling that was falling down and it worked wonders. However, I wish I had used some wood strips to snug the plaster up to the lath before cutting open the tube, as I was unable to get the sag out with just the Big Wally anchors. I guess I was over eager to get the job done. It works great, but it is crazy expensive for what you get. I wish I had save the Plaster Magic for a more public area and used buttons for this project, but I will recommend it!

Worked great and simple to use
When repairing plaster cracks, we found some plaster had separated from the lathe. This worked great, even on sloping walls of 100 year old plaster.

Worked
It worked well for fixing/securing cracks and busted up plaster around the house, and the tools and materials are good quality. Most everything needed is included, making quick repairs easy. The only drawback is the price for the size of the kit. It feels a bit expensive given how much product you get. Otherwise, a solid choice for plaster repair.

it's the only one on the market and it works
fortunately it's a good product, these people have a monopoly, there are others that are cheaper but they just don't work as good.
