A: The housing and body of the light including the hinge is aluminum.   The clip used to attach to uniform/hat is plastic.

**Q: Can this light be turned on/off in Red mode only without having to cycle through a white mode?**
A: no it cycles through white first then red

**Q: Can the light be "on" while plugged into usb power and charging? and if yes, will it stay on (bypassing the 20 minute "auto-off" feature)? thanks.**
