How many ways can I love thee?
I have a 2 bedroom condo with all hardwood floors. I set the mint down to run twice a day, each time I use the attachment that fills with water, not the dry sweeper attachment.CLOTHS:The clothes they provide do an excellent job of getting everything from dog hair to dirt. HOWEVER, my laundry schedule could not keep up with the rate that I use my mint - so I swapped over to using Swiffer Sweeper Wet clothes with the water filled attachment and I'm getting EXCELLENT results.SIZE:The robot is so small it actually fits UNDER MY COUCHES! I can truly say that theres no dog hair or dust on my floors, not even under furniture with this little guy in the house. Such as wonderful help for myself as well as for friends and family who visit who have bad allergies.MODES:So there are two modes which i refer to as "Straight Lines" (button looks like a broom) and "Mop" (button looks like a water droplet)In "Straight Lines" mode it will literally go at your floors much like the method you probably use to mow your lawn... it will go a long distance, rotate, and overlapping a bit come back that same distance, of course avoiding obstacles and navigating around objects.I use this mode on my WHOLE HOUSE twice a day.In "Mop" mode it goes off to the left about a foot, comes back, then curves off to the right about a foot. This means its covering the same ground multiple times more of a back and forth mopping sort of way. I use this mode in my kitchen once or twice a week.ENDURANCE / BATTERY LIFEThis little sucker on "Straight Lines" mode can cover my entire two bedroom condo in one battery life and still have room for a run of "Mop Mode" for just the kitchen. This first run picks up ALL the daily dog hair. Then i pop it on the express charging base, and after lunch I put it back on the floor and let it run again and it picks up all the dust and random debris to leave the floors so very clean!

It worked fine for about a year
I purchased this unit March, 2013. It worked fine for about a year. Now, after a full charge, it will clean for about 10 minutes and stop for no apparent reason. Looks like other reviewers have experienced similar problems. Likely a defect in this unit. Disappointing, because otherwise there is a lot to like with this. Unlike my roomba vacuum, this unit is quiet enough to run in the same room with a sleeping toddler. The use of water and standard microfiber cloths is also a convenience. But overall, this has not been a good investment.--------------UPDATED:Turned out to be a battery issue. I replaced the battery for $50 and it's working great again. Contrast that to my Roomba 560 which only needed one battery replacement in 3 years, it's disappointing. However, I have found another use - rather than the microfiber clothes that come with this, try attaching a couple baby wipes to the bottom of the unit. We have infants/toddlers and no shortage of these in the house. They seem to do a much better job of cleaning. I still fill the reservoir with water, and that keeps the wipes moist. The wipes seem to pick up far more dirt than the cloths.

mint 5200 does the work okay, but improvements is needed, indeed!
I use this one in the mainland China. Provine Fujian.1. the battery is good, works none-stop for at least 1.35 hours straight. even in the "mop" mode.2. cleans well, mint 5200 works very very slowly, it cleans like your 80years old granny, crawling all over the floor trying to find the lost eyeglass.... but that suits me exactly well. coz I dont need it to be swift and hardcore, just take it's time and mop the floor for whatever long time it needs. while I am sitting in the couch watch the TV or naps...3. really quiet... bothers nobody even a light sleeper like me.4. it will not be confused by nearly all typs of terrian, chair feets, bins, tables, always find it's way out.5. the tiny size make the mint 5200 ok for almost all the floor under the beds, under the tables, or under the cabinets. That make it cleans even better than me, coz I am too lazy to do that...the downside is :1. takes at least 4 hours to recharge2. how and where you put it before the work starts, might be really different for the actual area it will clean. the same to the "north star" cube. different place you put it, the mint 5200 might works very very differently.3. sometimes it just works none-stop until the battery dead, and ignores the fact that the floor was already clean enough.4. in a bigger room, like mine, jointed kitchen+dinning room+living room, sums up to 60 square meters, the mint 5200 cleans only 1/2 of it, over and over again and forgot the other half, so I need to stop it, move it to the other 1/2 and re-start it -- so it can finish cleaning the other 1/2.

Intelligent
Update: after about 6 months light use. It doesn't function properly. It stops moving in about 2 minutes after fully charged. This is way better than a robot vacuum on hard floor. It is quiet and there is not dust to worry about. It is intelligent, covers and cleans every corner of in the room. And what amazing is that when the floor texture changes, say when it moves from a wood floor to a floor mat, dirt already picked up by the pad got left behind. Somehow, Mint detects this and goes back clean that area again. We will recommend this product.
