Q: Is the bowl BPA- and phthalate-free?

Yes, absolutely. As parents ourselves, we only sell products that are SAFE for babies and children. Thanks for asking!

Q: Would these be too big for an average (at best) sized 9 month old? Need a bib that is waterproof and not velcro - tired of him flinging his bib!

I ordered these when my son was 14 months and they are good for him, but I would caution they may be a tad big for a 9 month old. They will cover him well but could be big around his neck. I love these bibs, he has never pulled them off and they are super easy to clean by hand and are durable for he washer and dryer. If you get them now and they are a little big, he will grow into them at least!

Q: Are these bibs absorbent?

The waterproof bibs are easier to wipe, more than they are absorbent. The front will get wet but will also allow liquid to run off. The back is completely waterproof. Hope that helps. -John, Manager
