Sorry turning the hot tap clockwise to open is just plain confusing and not consistent with established conventions- but it does seem to be all the rage these days. Will lead to a generation not knowing which way to turn a valve wheel to open it! Got a plumber out to repair but couldn't as sealed units so had to buy new taps to replace.
