Maximum Protection for Severe Bug Conditions — The Ultimate High-DEET Repellent!
First Impressions & Portability When heading into areas notorious for heavy bug pressure—like deep woods, marshlands, or tropical travel destinations—standard insect sprays just don't cut it. The Repel 100 comes in a compact 4 oz pump spray bottle that easily slips into a daypack, tackle box, or travel kit. Despite its small footprint, a little product goes a long way due to its concentrated 98.11% DEET formulation. Performance & Longevity This is as heavy-duty as insect repellents get. In practice, it creates an almost impenetrable barrier against aggressive mosquitoes, ticks, gnats, and biting flies. While standard bug sprays require reapplication every couple of hours, a light application of Repel 100 reliably provides protection for up to 10 hours. It is particularly reassuring when hiking through thick brush where tick exposure is a primary concern. Application & Chemical Strength Because this formula features near-pure DEET, proper application technique is key. The pump spray delivers a fine mist, allowing for controlled application to exposed skin and clothing edges. It has a distinct chemical scent upon initial spray, which dissipates as it dries. Important note for high-DEET products: High concentrations of DEET can react with synthetic plastics, synthetic fabrics (like nylon or polyester), watch faces, and gear coatings, so take care when applying it near expensive electronics, sunglasses, or synthetic technical outerwear.

This product WORKS!
My home is surrounded by trees, so mosquitoes are constant. When I water my plants, they usually swarm me—so many it looks like gnats—and I end up with 20–30 bites. I’ve always worried about mosquito‑borne illnesses, but most name‑brand repellents irritate my skin, so I didn’t have high hopes for this one. I was genuinely shocked. When I went out to water my plants, the mosquitoes started flying around as usual, but this time they immediately flew away. A few landed on my clothes and instantly took off. When I apply this thoroughly, I don’t get a single bite. Wow! It doesn’t have a strong chemical smell like other products, and it doesn’t irritate my skin. Highly recommend.

This is the real-deal, no-B.S., DEET formula that gets the mosquitos off of you.
This is the real-deal, no-B.S., gets the mosquitos off of you, DEET formula that is what I use when it's time to get the mosquitos, gnats, no-see-ums, and sand flies/biting midges away from you. For many years now I have been using a popular plant-based lemon-eucalyptus insect repellent that is DEET-free, due to wanting a less-toxic, more "natural" alternative, to DEET-based sprays. My experience with the lemon-eucalyptus formula is that it can be effective (and is great smelling), but only for a few minutes, and I need to reapply the lemon- eucalyptus compound constantly, every ten or maybe even five minutes, for it to stay effective against the flying pests that are out there. In 2023 I wound up doing several months of summer work in a remote mountainous area in the western United States. Though usually a dry climate, that was a banger moisture year and the flying insects were atrocious. I initially began using my preferred lemon-eucalyptus oil but found it almost completely ineffective due to the sheer volume of flying pests and insects I was getting swarmed and bitten by, each night at camp. That summer I switched back to DEET and went with the Repel 100. The situation was so serious, I was not going to mess around with partial blends or a dilute DEET. I wanted 100% strength/power/efficacy. It had been a few years since I had used Repel and Repel DEET-containing products but upon picking some of this up and applying it, the scent and slightly oily texture immediately brought me back to childhood memories of campfires, camping, ball games, and being out in cool summer evenings slathered in Repel's DEET spray, munching on marshmallows in plumes of campfire smoke. Fast forward back to 2023 up there in the mosquito-infested mountains of the rural west, and this Repel DEET-based spray worked when the lemon-eucalyptus oil would not. Once applied, the clouds of some of the largest mosquitos I had ever seen, stayed away from me. Since that summer, I have been back on the DEET. I still use the lemon-eucalyptus but I keep this Repel 100 DEET formula on hand just incase I decide to head up to the mountains or out on a camping trip that's going to take me to a place where there might be a heavier flying insect load that I am generally exposed to at home. Please note that DEET is highly effective as a tick repellent. With the dramatic increase in tick-borne diseases in North America over the past two decades, Repel 100 is a good idea and effective at keeping ticks off of you. I use Permethrin on my clothes but Permethrin cannot be applied directly to the skin so that's where the DEET comes in. Lemon-eucalyptus oil also can serve as a tick repellent but as I've noted above, my experience indicates that lemon-eucalyptus compounds just don't have the "oomph" necessary to keep insects away and off of you with the intensity and duration that DEET does. Stay safe out there, everybody.

EXTREMELY OILY
It's extremely oily, and you have to put tons of it all over your skin and clothes to keep the bugs away. It seems to work well for mosquitoes but not so well horse flies or dear flies (which both bite!). It is fragrance free, which is really hard to find.

This stuff works
This 98.1% Deet bug repellent is a beast. Covered in Mosquitoes in the woods and as soon as I sprayed this on myself, they wanted nothing to do with me. Best bug repellent that I've ever used. Well worth the price.

Works great!
This one is good! It doesn’t have that strong smell like the clear bottle with yellow liquid. This smell is lighter and I can handle without having a headache. It last pretty long working in the backyard. No mosquitoes or ticks bites. Bottle sprays good and great value for this item.

Read why is should be a 5 Star!
IMHO, this is a 5 star product, except: The push-push dispensing has gotten me in the eye TWICE! Knowing this, I am careful to make certain that the spray on the nozzle is pointed straight; in spite, I had to wash my eye out twice! I believe that the somewhat oily base of the fluid, combined for a need to make the sprayer head less adjustable, is the issue. Otherwise, the (now) newer version, is almost completely odor-free and is quite effective. I hope the manufacture reads this, too. -Craig

Works as intended
Came back from backcountry brush with zero ticks as no foul odor. worked great as far as I could tell, didn’t stain or discolor my clothing either but always test on a small section in case.
