Sure, are there other versions with more cold shoe mounts? Sure! But for around 20 bucks, this things pretty solid. Color options are nice. You can even put a dslr camera on here and a external microphone! I use this for cinematic b roll footage on my longboard. Filmed some of my buddies doing tricks, and was pleasantly surprised. This plus go pros image stabilization is quite the duo.Mine has enough room to mount my gopro, my rode video micro, a gopro hero 5 mic adapter, and a pocket juice 10,000 mah power supply. Even velcroed the bottom to hold a case for an extra sd card if i need it!If you need to rig some weird contraption to do some weird thing that your not completely sure of what your doing, the scorpion cam caddie is a very great starting point.

I bought this to shoot video with my Sony/RX100. It did work well enough, although I discovered that I have enough wobble in my stride to disturb the video. The unit is quite cheaply made of molded plastic and needed some sanding (Dremel) to make the parts of the unit actually fit together. Now, for the price, it was well worth it. It won't do well with a DSLR or pro level capture device unless it is very small and light.

Was exactly what I was expecting fits my dslr well and all the included mounts work good aswell.

Ignoring the orange colour, the handle is a bit flimsy. My 5-inch monitor mounted on the top lends to flap back and forth a bit. the foam handle is comfortable and I can fit my 4K camera, a monitor, a mic and a light on the unit. At least one more cold shoe mount would be helpful.There is no suction power so I rated that as one star.
