Roomier than it appears.
My first smaller size bag and I love it. It's well made and great color. I was surprised that I could fit a small wallet, checkbook, compact, kleenex, lip gloss, inhaler, cough drops, small flashlight. There is a nice size pocket on the back I use for masks and cell phone. The strap is highly adjustable and very well made. Never thought I could adjust to a all bag but this one is perfect. The usual excellent Travelon hardware.

Fits a Minimalist Lifestyle - Not Exactly as Pictured
The picture shows two separate slash pockets that are deep enough to easily hold the pictured sunglasses and phone. The product I received has a single slash pocket. Though it would be good that have that little bit of extra organization, I'm guessing that it might be one of the reasons that the product was 43% off.I carry a very small wallet, a regular-sized android phone (not super-sized), a pair of small reading glasses, a small notebook and a couple of pens/pencils. They'll all fit in either the center pocket for ease of retrieving, in the slash pocket for access to the glasses, and the notebook and a couple of pens/pencils will be stashed in one of the zipper compartments as I don't need immediate access to them. If I need to carry my passport, it will reside in the other zippered pocket. The outside pocket will hold my keys. For me, this is a good purse for both everyday use and general traveling. For traveling that's more of an outing, where you'd want to bring more material including a book, water, or an IPad, or a scarf, gloves, hat, etc., this bag will not do.With that said, it could still be used to keep certain materials separated from everything else in a larger bag for easier retrieval.

Very cute cat pet fur magnet.
TL:DRThis purse is super cute and preppy looking. The fabric however is canvas and when I took it out of the poly bag it instantly attracted 2 cat hairs from the ether which I promptly plucked off. I am on the fence about keeping this and I'm definitely not taking it on my upcoming trip to Portugal and Spain (Barcelona! Ack! Pickpockets!!) because it's teeny. It's currently back in it's poly bag with the tags waiting for when I get home and can decide.ConsThe fabric is a cotton canvas. I doubt it's as waterproof as the Travelon nylon bags. I'm not testing it because I may return it. For some reason I thought it would be more nylon-like. And as I mentioned the fabric welcomes fur with open arms. Take note, pet owners. It's so small. Shame on me for not getting a ruler out before ordering and understanding it in person. They give the dimensions and it's up to us consumers to vet these things. But what is so misleading and another reviewer mentioned, is it looks so much bigger in the picture with the lady. They picked a 95 pound 4'11" model to photograph the bag with. (Ok, I don't know this for sure, but it sure seems that way.) For me when I travel to places, I'm out all day. I may need to stuff a jacket in my bag or a sweater. You definitely can't put either in there. It would fit some standard purse essentials and that's about it. A guidebook, tablet (Fire, iPad, etc.) or water bottle probably wouldn't fit and definitely not a spare layer for evening. It's a cute purse for going to dinner, but not for touring all day.The interior organization is weird. There are two interior zipped pockets which is great! But there is this funny flap-like open pocket across one of them. It is floppy too. Like no organization for cards or anything there and I feel like stuff would get stuck in it and it would just get in the way when you want to put things into the main interior space of the bag because it doesn't lay flat against the side of the interior.I don't think it has those metal cables in the strap... I think it's advertised as "slash resistant," but it appears just to be thick cotton/poly webbing. I may be wrong, but I'm not going to cut the strap to find out for sure.ProsCute as a button. The saddle bag is a classic look and the navy and brown leather trim are so nice. It's a lovely-to-look-at bag.The slip pocket on the back/exterior is great for your phone or bus pass (when you are not around pickpockets.)TWO! interior zip pockets. This is great for sketchy travel destinations. You not only can have valuables in your locked zipper main compartment but behind yet another "door" of an interior zippered pocket! No one is getting their hands in there without you knowing. Perfect to put your money, cards and passport. Just don't purse snatched.ConclusionI'm probably returning this one. I don't want to have to lint roll my purse every time I leave the house. Seems weird. I also own A LOT of purses. Including a tan leather saddle bag about the same size. Do I really need one more?Anyhow I ordered a bigger, nylon Travelon bag for my trip that I will use. And when I get back we shall see.

Perfect for every day or travel
I have had several purses, including Travelon products, over the years and this is by far my favorite. I use it as my everyday purse, because thefts don't just occur whilst travelling. It's lightweight and comfortable yet durable. The locking zipper adds and extra level of security in addition to the mesh lining and RFID blocking. It's perfect for carrying around your passport, cards, and other essentials whilst travelling as well.

This is the perfect purse!
This was a perfect travel purse - I bought it specifically for a trip to Rio, but I didn't get mugged, so I can't comment on whether or not it is truly slashproof. That being said, it has 2 inner zippered pockets where you can stash your passport and money, as well as a smaller pocket for your phone, so even if someone slashed the bottom of the bag nothing would really fall out. It is smaller than the average purse but I could fit my iphone, sunglasses, and a disposable camera without any difficulty. The above items filled it up, but that's overall a great travel size.

Perfect
For years I've used a small ID case for my license/credit cards/cash, but unfortunately recently I've had to look for a purse to fit two phones, keys, and my ID case. This purse has more than enough room without being too big, the lanyard for keys makes it easy to find them every time, the zipper for the main pocket allows me to toss my purse around like I would my old ID case without losing the contents, it's cute, and super durable. 10/10 I'd highly recommend it

Wrinkly; canvas; not typical quality.
I have other purses from this brand, all with a sturdy nylon mix outer material. This one has no interior slots for cards so you must take a wallet, is canvas, is wrinkly.... is awful-looks incredibly cheap and childlike.I don't buy travel purses for fashion only-they need to function, and this one does neither. Back it went.
