Quality
This chuck for my lathe is very good. I have a Nova chuck and this chuck is comparable to my Nova. I highly recommend this chuck. This chuck expands to a larger size. Very good quality. The spot where you make adjustments to the jaws in needs to have an arrow showing you which way the jaws are moving like the Nova. I used my scribe to make some arrows and that works great.

Overall, a good chuck for the price
This was the replacement chuck as the first one had to be returned. The first chuck kept getting stuck during opening and closing. The replacement chuck was still crunchy during movement. Be prepared to remove the jaws and clean out any chips from manufacturing. Remove the back and inspect the scroll. Found some good-sized chips impacting the movement. I cleaned everything out and deburred the edges and it works great. This looks like an exact copy of the Grizzly chuck and Vicmarc jaws fit perfectly on this chuck too.

A lot of chuck
Very well made product that works as intended. Comes with hex keys to operate. A lot of chuck, small as it is, that holds wood turning securely.

The instructions are lacking.Does not explain the indexing feature or how to fit the worm screw.

I bought this as a giftfor my hubby. He has enjoyed using it and says it meets all expectations.

Very bad product!
The worst cartridge I've seen! Cams do not converge, as can be seen in the photo. Closing or opening is very difficult. There is an adapter from a large thread to a 1 "thread, which is not convenient and the seller does not write about it!
