These Bars Are Great
These bars are perfect for what I needed. I swapped out a pair of bars with a 2.5 inch rise for these bars with a 9.5 inch rise. I use my bike on a trainer stand indoors primarily but also ride for pleasure just cruising. My back isn’t getting any younger and neither is my neck and riding like I am joe road racer just isn’t necessary if you know what I mean. I am so pleased to be able to sit up straight and ride my bike without suffering for it later. I think that if you want a cruiser kind of ride with a comfortable position for your back, neck, and shoulders you might want to check these out. They are for sure higher than mountain bike bars, but they aren’t quite to the Schwinn Chopper height. These are like in between Cruiser and Ape Hanger size in my opinion. They were cheap and arrived in perfect shape and I mounted them on a Single Speed Pure Fix Bike. I was able to keep my front brake as well. I did move my front brake from the left side to the right side so it would work. At my age I am more about functionality than looking cool. Worked great for me and had them mounted in about 10 minutes.

FANTASTIC cruiser bars!
originally ordered a WALD 880.... it was VERY un-natural at the wrists....painful to use..... replaced the 880 with this 870 and could not be happier....the picture really does not show the correct angel...it makes it look almost flat, and it most assuredly is not....VERY comfortable though not quite as high as the 880.... I ordered the WALD High Rise stem to use with this as well and adjusted it to the perfect highth.....as a result of this and a new fancy layback seat post that cost me all of 15.00.....I as a 6'3 man can ride my common size 26 inch tired beach cruiser with no discomfort ......something that prior to this caused me no end of pain due to the smaller than I honestly needed size frame.20.00 handlebar15.00 extra long handlebar stem15.00 extra tall layback seatpost50.00 saved a 700.00 bike from being useless.....awesome!

Nephew loves them!
These handlebars weren't the ones I intended to order but my nephew ended up loving is "motorcycle handlebars" so it was a happy accident. They Fit well, and look nice.

Exactly as described
These handlebars are strong and very shiny. They were easy to put on the bike.I purchased them after reading other reviews suggesting putting them on a mountain bike. That's what I tried, and they did fit. I had to replace the brake cables, which was not a big deal. They didn't make the bike any more comfortable, though, and the curve of the bars made me feel crowded on the bike. There also wasn't enough room for the shifters, brakes and grips. If you're putting them on a bike with grip shifters, then it might work better.Honestly, if you're uncomfortable riding a mountain bike and are hoping these handlebars will make it a more pleasant ride, they probably won't. Look into comfort bikes or hybrid bikes. The right bike is a lot of fun and great exercise at the same time, but the handlebars aren't the only thing that makes a comfort bike comfortable.

Zen and the art of converting a mountain bike to an urban cruiser
If you want conventional cruiser handlebars, I'd wager these are too small for your taste. However, these bars were the same width as my outgoing MTB handlebars, but these are cruisers in a Zen sense. With these bars and new street tires, my 20-year old budget mountain bike is suddenly 20 times more relevant to daily life and a lot more comfortable, and a lot more fun. Yes you need longer brake/shifter cables. Yes, the old handlebar grips, brake and gear shifters themselves migrated. Yes, I could take these into the local bike shop, and have them do the work with other basic service needs, for a reasonable cost. Gotta support the local economy. What I didn't expect was the bike shop owner (Peformance Bicycles, San Mateo) would know exactly what I had in mind when I walked in with my bike and these handlebars. I'll post a couple pics soon (I hope). For an article about a rider who did a conversion like this back in 2003, here's an interesting writeup (I'm not affiliated, but the picture conveys the concept). [...]

Won't work with shifters.
These are apparently made for no gears at all, keep that in mind if you're wanting to put them on a bike with Nexus shifters or similar. The straight part of the hand grip is too short and curves way too soon to fit everything. Luckily I have extra bars and I can weld. I had to add two inches to the end so they would work. Granted, they are "cruiser bars" but damn, make them long enough so they work across all applications.

This is THE one for your cruiser!
Just perfect. Not crazy high, so it looks "proper"- but once I put this on my 26" beach cruiser, my comfort level and leg-to-pedal-power greatly increased, and it "transported" me back to the 5th grade when everybody's handlebars were "heads up".Nice, smooth bends and substantial chrome-plating; a quality piece of metal.So- quality, comfort, style, and that intangible "fun factor". Highly recommended for almost any 26" bike. I'm ordering another for my Schwinn Admiral hybrid (this one went on a single-speed/kick-brake cruiser).(note: I ordered this and a banana seat/sissy bar for a planned "stingray" project; the handlebars arrived first. Honestly, I'm so happy with the bike after only installing the bars, I'll definitely save my old seat for variety and fun.)
