Not accurately calibrated
The model isn't properly calibrated with the probe together as a unit that is sold together. My unit and TC-4 probe were consistently low by 3 degrees Celsius at every temperature measured. Read -3C in ice when it should read 0C and read 97C in boiling water.

Digital Thermometer
I've used this thermometer several times and I assume it reaches the right temperature. My needs require it to tell me when my kiln gets to 1800 degrees, so it seems to do the job. I might test it against another temperature recording device (ceramic cones), but if it's within 5 or so degrees of my target temp., it's OK. I like the large digits that I can view without getting too close to the kiln.
