Well made, quality material and fills a weekend.
Top looked like stock. Same texture, visual appearance and weight of fabric. It was subtly different than the OE top I replaced. Different, greater number of straps. Fabric side vents where mine had none. The differences were I assume the updates BMW made from the 1998 model year and on. Mine being a 1996 model , all upgrades easily integrated and understandable. It certainly would have been nice to have documentation of updates and how the installation may be done. That brings up the only area that I found deficient, intallation instructions. There weren't any, zero, zip zilch. granted many people have them installed amd I can see why as it took about fourteen hours have never done it before. The top is very nice and well priced.

False description, don't bother
These guys list features like plastic retainers and the relief pocket. Soft top arrived and does not have any of those listed features. Not DIY friendly without those. Do not buy.

Don't Listen to Others, You Can Do This!
I was hesitant to buy the top considering all of the whiny reviews about "this is NOT a DIY project" or "hire a professional". Sure, hire a professional if you don't have the ability to solve problems or have the patience to complete a challenging project that will take a day or your entire weekend. This is just a puzzle that requires some thought and trouble-shooting. The good news is that there are great videos out there and instructions are also easily found via Google because this vendor does not provide them via Amazon - they will if you buy directly from their website, for a much higher price. In the photo shared, this is what it looks like at about 90% complete. We still had a few more tweaks but to get this point (including removing the old top), it took my 17yo daughter and me about 7 hours of working rather slowly and carefully. We added another 2 hours finishing the job yesterday - this included making adjustments, finishing the interior glued parts, and attaching straps with rivets. As a novice top installer, I'm guessing we got it about 95-97% correct and it looks amazing! If someone asked me to do it for them, I'd easily charge $1k or more for my time and patience. What's your time worth? Think about it before you start the project. For me, I'm thinking that spending a weekend on this car, here in SoCal, probably saved me about $1-2k in installation costs.Others will tell you that there are hundreds of screws to remove and track - not true. There are 10 at the header, about 10 at the rear bracket/seal, 5-7 on each side and then a few more along the way. My guess is that there are under 50 and you can easily track with ziplock bags and markers.Good luck with your install!PS, when you remove the old top, make sure you cut out or remove the back window first. Then, cut out the top without cutting the interior straps. It'll make your life so much easier to have all that fabric out of the way as you try to get to all the screws and bolts.

Quality
A great top all around. This looks like a factory top and for the price it was amazing. I can highly recommend that you will,be happy with it. Installation is a bit of a challenge but there are some great tube videos that without them would have made it near impossible to install. Suggest you buy a art stapler from harbor freight and stainless staples from Home Depot and you will thank yourself.

Great product
Great looking top 2 weeks no complaints, would have a pro do the install. Couldn't find a sealing frame local if it breaks during install it's 150 parts and another 250-300 for shipping
