OEM impeller. Works fine
It is an OEM impeller for my pool pump. Installed and seems to work just fine. The previous impeller had worn to the point that it was leaking at the seal. This one is moving lots of water and the pump is no longer leaking.

Perfect part from original manufacturer, quick delivery by Amazon
This impeller is exactly what I needed. Amazon quickly delivered the authentic, original part. It is not easy to install (that is just the way pool pumps need to be assembled so that they work). However, if you take the time to plan out your installation, and carefully study a few of the online instructional videos (and written protocols) it is not too difficult to do the installation correctly. There are MANY details to remember and watch out for, but I wanted to highlight a two: First, because this involves dealing with electricity, be absolutely sure to turn off all circuit breakers and ensure that NO electricity at all can flow to the motor/pump. Also, be very careful and follow all safety protocols before and during discharging the motor capacitor. All of this is explained through videos and instructions that helpful people have kindly placed on line. I felt that it helped to watch a few different ones to make sure that you become aware of ALL aspects of what needs to be done.Again, there are many details to remember, but another important one is to be very careful while handling the two parts of the SHAFT SEAL. One part goes on the impeller shaft and one goes into the Seal Plate. It is critical not to touch the ceramic surface of the shaft seal with your fingers (oil etc can damage the seal). Again, look at a few of the online instructions and you will know what these parts are.I do not mean to give anyone the impression that this installation is impossibly difficult to do. It is quite doable, but I just want to alert others to the fact that many critical steps need to be executed very carefully, and also to urge all the DIYers to take the time to study everything in advance (which I am sure most people would do anyways). The reward of doing it yourself is that you can take care to do it patiently and correctly, and in the process could save a significant amount of money and end up with an installation that lasts a long time!

Boy do I love DIY.
Boy do I love DIY. I had a large leak from my 6 year old Hayward Superpump, So for a little over 30 bucks, I bought the Seal assy. replacement, Slinger replacement and impeller replacement for the Hayward Superpump. And just to make sure I got it right, I even bought the $30 Seal plate replacement part. I looked up the rebuild process video online, broke out all the replacement parts and broke down the old pump, rebuilt it and had it back working in less than an hour. To buy a new one would have cost me over $150, but to rebuild it was less than half that price. The parts fit perfectly, work flawlessly and I'm sure will last another 6 seasons or more. I'm not the handiest person when it comes to pools and pumps but the idea of saving 50% is a great motivator for me. I'm not cheap, just thrifty!!

Great but product number can be confusing
Worked like a champ. My original impeller had a plastic thread. It cracked when motor was replaced which caused the shaft seal to get loose and gush water. This one is built with brass threads so much more durable. Most important, After searching around I finally found an answer online that Hayward sometimes adds an “x” to blank spots in model numbers, so if you are looking to replace your impeller SP 2607C, then yes, this is the right one. Hope that saves someone else time. Way better price than the gouge at the local pool store.
