One of the best appliances I have purchased recently!
Previously I was using a Breville hot water dispenser but the chrome effect plastic was getting a coating of limescale I couldn't fully remove, the water had a bit of an odd taste to it so I decided to look for a replacement.I spent a lot of time trying to find something that ticked all of the boxes (the main two being a large tank and no strange taste to the water) and as I was on the verge of giving up for the moment, I stumbled across the Yum Asia Oyi.It's one of the more expensive options but I can honestly say it's one of the best appliances I have bought in a long while. It is easy to setup, has a larger water tank than most and tea's, hot chocolates all taste great. It's easy to configure the volume of water dispensed and the temperatures and the ability to dispense room temperature water is useful as well.It does come with an attachment to basically provide a raised drip tray which is useful for standard sized mugs to reduce any risk of splash. It pours smoothly so any splashing would be minimal regardless. When you tell it to dispense some boiling water, I was amazed at how quick it begins to pour. On most, it will boil water in a separate, usually hidden tank that is filled from the main tank and once boiled, will dispense it but this one boils as it pours and it works excellently. On top of that, it's a lot quieter than my previous one when boiling.Absolutely recommend this!

Brilliant water dispenser
This water dispenser is brilliant, easy to use and looks stunning in the kitchen. I was looking for something that was going to make my life a lot easier as having arthritis in both hands using a kettle was getting harder and harder. Looked at some of the other brands but this one stood out as it holds 4 litres and had a digital display panel which is so easy to use. Very slimline and doesn’t take up much space on the kitchen worktop and I don’t know why I didn’t get one sooner!! There was a slight chemical taste in the first few drinks but that soon disappeared after being in use regularly. One comment said that the water wasn’t hot enough for making a cup of tea. How wrong that is, the water at its highest temperature comes out no different than from a boiled kettle and by only giving you the amount you want it’s very cost effective, and instant hot water what more could you want. Would highly recommend this product, it’s been a game changer for me!!

Excellent instant hot water dispenser!
This is a great piece of kitchen kit, which replaced my hot water kettle (almost, still needed to fill hot water bottle). The water is very hot at 99 degrees Celsius and does not sputter and splash like other hot water dispensers. Yum Asia Oyu makes a good cup of tea and being companion to my latest acquisition, British Berkefeld gravity water filter, our hot beverages are the 'bees knees'.I like the locked feature that prevents accidental dispensing of hot water, especially with my l'il ones around. I also like the ability to set the volume of water to be dispensed. Maybe it is my misunderstanding that this kit would have been able to go down dispensing water to 4 degrees, which would have effectively made it a cooler as well? Perhaps that would been expecting too much at that price point. Maybe the dispenser takes water at that low temperature without showing an LED error code but dispenses at the ambient temperature (23 degrees is the lowest I achieved).I also like the touch sensitive buttons being buried under the top surface which discourages germs from hanging around and makes for easy cleaning. I am also impressed with the large 4 litre tank which, compared to most kettles, means a lot fewer refills.I cannot comment on savings on the electricity bill but I suspect it will do so given that only the required amount of water is being heated in comparison to a longer boiling time for a kettle. I am also unable to comment on descaling as I have only just started using the appliance. I suspect, however, that the dispenser won't have too much limescale since I am using the water filter mentioned above. My plan is to use a certain green pack of citric acid sold on Amazon and other online marketplaces.Just one negative - the rest of my household stated that at the ambient temperature, the water tastes 'plasticky'. I did raise the plastic construction question with the seller before purchasing but it was pointed out that many hot water kettles are plastic (not mine) and that the plastic was free of known nasties such BPA & phthalate. It would have been nice to have the storage tank (& internal piping, which I assume is also plastic?) in stainless steel with window for checking water levels. Next model, maybe?Overall though, a sensible purchase, especially if one has arthritis - no more lifting of a hot kettle. I love it but only time will tell if this equipment lasts.

Great product, fits well in my modern kitchen, very easy to use too...
Smart, slender and neat looking water dispenser. Very easy to install and use. Great hot and cold water filtered water at a press of a button. With easily adjustable water temperature and control of water volumn depending how big your mug, cup or container is. Very pleased with my purchase.

Is it worth the cost?
Perfect for 2 years then it stops heating. Look after with discalling. Contact manufacturer but never got an answer. So compare value, lifetime and saving, stick to a basic kettle. No worth it!!!
