Smart Author ... Great Book
Lots of practical tidbits, coding advice, rules, template headers, and best practices information on writing bug-free C code in the embedded environment. Well worth the price of the book. Seems like at the end of every chapter there is a reminder to enforce these rules with peer code reviews.

One of the best books you could read (as a SW programmer)
Barr Group is amazing and this book is a must read /know as a SW programmer. Just keeps getting better. THIS IS THE STANDARD.

clear and concise.
Clear and concise. It's good to have someone else's view on a coding standard, with some justification behind their choices.

It Won't teach you C.
It has some nice ideas for "rules" that if followed should make less bug/errors & be significantly easier for others to review your code. However, if you are looking to learn how to code, this isn't the book for you. Get another book/class/mentor, get the ball rolling, 3 programs after your "hello world", then get this book to establish good habits early on.
