Prince Lionheart Silkie Blanket, Cream

My daughter loves this blanket, she calls him "GoodOne".

Ever had your kid lose his luvie? Then proceeded to lose your mind while trying to find a replacement over the internet for 10 times what it originally cost?We learned our lesson and made sure that we had something that was small easily replaceable and not too expensive. These were perfect.Yep they get dirty easily because of the light color, but they wash up great with no special handling like stuffed animals tend to need.Yep they get pulls easily in the silky side of the blanket, but it just gives it more texture and never seemed to bother my kid.These are small, can be packed almost anywhere, are lightweight and can be clipped onto most anything to keep from dropping or falling on the floor, and didn't cost an arm and a leg to replace when it got lost. I tended to keep 2 or 3 as backups because they were so inexpensive.Obviously these aren't going to work for everyone, but because they were perfect for us, they get 5 stars.

We stumbled onto this blanket by accident after a baby shower gift turned into a favorite item. My daughter took this off a teddy bear and never let go. 9 years later she gave her original to her baby sister and we were looking to stock up. I found these here, and they are again a favorite...always nearby. My second daughter wont even take a pacifier, but her "nightnight" (this blanket) provides comfort in even the toughest of times. She has even managed to get this on her face while sleeping and its so breathable she doesn't have any issues. Second kiddo had hers by 4 months and never had an issue with safety. 10/10 would recommend to anyone.

I bought this blanket for a family member's baby shower as my children had similar blankets as babies and all four of them LOVED their blankies. It's been a staple shower gift for me ever since. However we had the Katie Little blankies by KidsLine (http://www.amazon.com/Kids-Line-Luxury-Security-Blanket/dp/B004ZZHDQK/ref=cm_cr-mr-title) and the quality was far superior to these Prince Lionheart ones, leaving me very disappointed that I'm giving a kinda-crappy product.First off, this blanket comes in a package of two, which surprised me. I decided to keep one for a future shower rather than giving them both to the same recipient so I opened the package. My first impression was confusion. There is something in the blanket that makes it crunchy. I don't know if this was by design (like how some baby toys have a crunchy item on them for sensory input?) or not (cheap materials?), but it was off-putting from the second I touched it. I'm hoping it won't be like that after its first wash, but then it makes me wonder why it feels like that in the first place. It's silkie is not nearly as silky as our KidsLine blankies' silkies were. The blanket itself is thinner, and smaller than the KidsLine blankies we had. Overall I was very disappointed in the item, but again, I was comparing it to a superior product no longer being made (?).The good thing about a blankie this size is that they are very portable, and easy to clean. We actually had much larger versions for use during sleep and tv time at home and only used the little ones when we were out and about, at the doctor's office, in the car, etc. I HIGHLY recommend a blankie like this for your little one, but maybe a different brand. I probably won't buy these again, and hope I can find a similar product at a similar price that meets my high KidsLine standards.

I purchased this for my daughter since she is a fussy sleeper. Out of the package they seemed nice enough, cheapy velvet material on one side and polyester sateen on the other. I washed them in the gentle cycle with no other items and when I pulled them out one was completely ripped down one seam. I thought it might be fixable but upon closer inspection the polyester sateen was fraying almost all the way to the edge, so there was no way to salvage it. The other one looked alright so I put it in the dryer on low heat to tumble dry. When I pulled it out it too had ripped open and frayed completely down the side.What a waste of money.

I have twin girls and I purchased these when they were 10 months old. They are now 2 and they love them. They take them everywhere which I don't mind because they are the perfect size. They are not the standard size blankets they are much smaller which is nice because it makes them very portable. They have held up great with the amount of times I have to wash them. I highly recommend it.

If you're looking for a full size baby blanket, skip this one. It's my fault that I didn't pay attention to the size information. I thought this was a full size baby blanket, but it's very small. It's about the size of a wash cloth. I think the purpose is to be used as a soothing blanket that the child uses for comfort. Based on the size received, I also thought the price was too high. So, if you're looking for a comfort blanket for your child, this is good. But if you're looking for a functional blanket to wrap your child in, this won't meet those requirements. I'm returning this to Amazon.

This is a nice quality item. The only reason I gave it four stars is because my grandson didn't get attached to it like we had hoped that he would. He doesn't sleep as well as mom would like and we were hoping he would use this to settle himself. It's very soft and certainly a good size for little hands. It may work for other kids. For the price, it would certainly be worth a try.
