HARRIS SBSKPOP Stay-Brite Silver Bearing Solder Kit
I had a specific project that needed a strong solder, stronger than lead, to be sturdy. I was silver soldering in a fuel line and vent to a fuel tank port. Obviously, you don't want any leakage from something like this. With the flux and this silversolder (a rather fine thickness, about 1/16" I'd say, it heated up and melted with a propane torch easily, the flow was smooth and quick around the part being attached and sealed.Final attachment was strong and did not fail. Made the port cap seamless with even amount of silver solder around the tubes. The Roll of Silver solder is a perfect size to not be bulky yet to serve out the solder as needed while you are heating the metal and melting to make the attachment.Very easy to use, and I was a first time user. I am, good at soldering with solder and resin so this isvery similar, only using a propane torch instead of a soldering iron.My work was small so keep that in mind depending on the size of your project, you may needa heavier (larger size silversolder) to do the job.I believe the secret to a successful joint is to clean the metal, flux it well then apply heat then silversolder.I recommend this product, even if you never have done it. My project went very well, and was easilycompleted.I do not know the seller and did not receive any money or product for my random review.210527 1241

The bond is super strong, I placed the soldered steel piece in ...
This WORKS and makes a very strong bond on steel. I cut two pieces of 1/4' square bar stock of steel. Both pieces wer about 3" in length. I placed on on top of the other with only about 1/2" of each pieces end overlapping. I followed the advice on youtube. The bond is super strong, I placed the soldered steel piece in my machinists vice perpendicular to the jaws. Tightened as hard as I could, the joint held in fact the vise jaws left deep indentations in the steel.Next I stuck only one end in my vice, and twisted the other with a 12" adjustable wrench. It took a tremendous effort to get the bond to finally snapNext time I will use a torque wrench and report actual breaking torque. I did notice both pieces were distorted from twisting so that tells me it took quite a bit of torque.Throw away your JB Weld, BUY THIS. BTW it took only a tiny bit of solder and 2 or 3 drops of flux. I cut a tiny piece of solder flatted it a bit, flued all areas and placed the solder between the 2 pieces of steel. Then using only a propane torch, broadly heated both pieces lying on a stone block. when both pieces reached the correct temperature, gravity pulled them together and the bond is invisible and seemless

Solder Anything!!
I've yet to find anything this Stay-Brite Silver Solder Kit will not solder! I accidentally found this product when I was making Tattoo Needles. I tried countless combinations of flux and solder with no success. I accidentally run across it while looking for something that would hold the Tattoo Needles together. I decided to make an 11 needle double row Magnum needle right off the bat. I figured make it or forget it. I laid 5 needles out on my jig,put one drop of the Stay Brite flux and let the solder flow. Wah-La!!, Worked great, the rest is history. Was able to put together any type Tattoo Needle ordered or needed. I always use this because I solder a lot of different things and this has not failed me yet. Thanks for a Great Product.William C.

Works pretty well if you're careful to do a good job.

Perfect size for a few small projects
I needed to solder in refrigerator service ports and didn’t want to drag out my full size torches. I was able to use this with a map gas setup and it made beautiful joints. The melting point is sufficient for this application. The size is perfect. I soldered six 1/4 inch line joints in total and there is plenty leftover. I wished Harris would make a similar sized kit for Stay-Brite 8 solder.

Very strong low temp solder.
Used this on a pair of glasses that I tried to solder with rosin core and other stuff. Worked great. Very strong and melts at a lower temperature than I thought it would. Tested on another piece and couldnt break the joint before the metal broke. Good stuff!
