In the past, I used plastic bags to protect mangoes from squirrels and birds, but that was hit-and-miss. The plastic bag causes mold to grow on the skin of the fruit because it collects water and doesn't allow air to pass thru. Now I use this product to wrap and protect individual fruit from our tree.These bags are mesh bags, so they provide the protection while allow the fruit to dry out after the rain. It was easy to install, and by tying the string securely around the stem, it holds the fruit from falling off the tree bruising it. When the fruit ripe and breaks off from the stem, it is still hanging on the tree and a firm tug would slide the bag and fruit of off the stem. So no more falling and bruising fruit. For the first time, we got nice looking ripen mangoes with no teeth marks, mold, or skin blemishes. This bag size is slightly small for our mangoes, but proves to work well. I will order a large size for next year production. I now using this product everywhere in our yard protecting all sort of fruits: guava, sugar apples, persimmon. And it is aesthetically better comparing to the look of hanging plastic bags.

Keeps birds from chomping all our peaches. Needed to tie them on since they slipped off if we just pulled the drawstring. Liked that we got so many in a batch. A bit unsightly for guests so we waited until after our party to put them on. So far so good with the birds staying away!

This was my first time using fruit bags on my peaches, so I only bagged half of them. As far as I can tell, the peaches in the bags ripened just as well as the ones that were not bagged.The mesh is tight and keeps the bugs out, but the opening at the top won't fully close, so you'll still get some bugs in that way. The 'drawstring' on the bags feels waxy/plastic and doesn't tie very tightly, but that actually wasn't a bag thing when it came time to remove them. It was easy to get the bags back off the tree when it came time to harvest the fruit.

My wife uses them for protecting her grapes and other fruits and vegetables!

These bags are what we've been looking for to protect our fruit from birds and bugs. They take a minute to put on the tree but are absolutely worth the effort. For this first time since we've had our orchard we have beautiful fruit that hasn't been messed with by birds and bugs. Especially apricots and peaches! These things are the best! They shipped fast too. Just in time time before the apricots started ripening and for the birds to dig in.

the stiching is a bit stodgy, but over all this is what I expected. Was a pleasant surprise to find an additional 5 bags in a slightly smaller size. I ordered 4 x 6 and received that plus 5 bags more like 3 x 5. I'm using these to stop cross pollination and do more seed saving. I've saved seed for years but had a huge snafu 2 years back when most of my squash crossed...of course you find a full year later (which was last year) ugh so sad. So I'm going to use these to stop our little pollinator friends from pollinating all the squash and everything else I seed save. Word of warning that the 4 x 6 bags are a bit small for squash flowers, I'd up a size (or two) for those, otherwise these will work for everything else I grow. The small free bags will works great for cukes, tomato, tomatillo, peppers and other small flowers.
