Sharpens hooks quickly
I like it because it sharpens your hooks quickly and the hook fits nicely in the grooves on the sharpener

Collapsible Hook Sharpener
Like the design, portability and three grooved sections for hook sharpening. Sturdy when extended and like the collapsible feature to store the file end. As mentioned in other reviews, the handle section does not close totally flush on the butt end of the file when collapsed; maybe 1/4 inch gap. Not a deal breaker but a little annoyance. Rubber band anyone?

Sticky Mess!
After receiving sharpener, I noticed its manufacture's plastic packaging had yellowed, like it was in old, kept in long term storage. So I opened it and to my disappointment, the rubberized/plastic handle of this sharpener was a sticky mess. Probably because it was old, some rubber/plastics breaks down with age. Tried cleaning it, but it won't, keeps sluffing off. Disappointed with sticky handle, everything sticks to it. Definitely not what I expected with this purchase.

Does Not Fully Close
File seems a little course for small hooks. The plastic handle of mine does not fully close. It continually springs open a little bit so there is about a half inch gap between the plastic handle pieces. Over priced for what it is.

Great sharpeners. Will put a great point on multiple size hooks. I like the way when you are finished you can close it up and it protects the sharpener itself.
