Good sound nice looking vintage style radio cassette player
I like this very much ,providing it keeps going! its an interesting wood effect vintage style, so refreshing from the usual silver ones,It feels weighty even without D batteries the build seems solid. The sound is plenty loud enough, good enough tone ,the volume knob is sensitive, just a little goes a long way!Plays tapes a little fast but doesn't bother me, all the controls work fine but I havent tried the USB or SD slots yet .Good radio function, tunings ok but the short waves are mostly full of static ,but I didnt pursue these as I use FM MOST, AM is ok, I think I heard some faint Chinese music on SW ,most bizarre as the set is made in China !FOR THE PRICE, ITS A GOOD BUY.

Uses big "D" cell batteries and worth it.
It's exactly as described and sounds fine.

Retro and extremely cool cassette Radio
The media could not be loaded. I chose this radio mostly for its appearance and the cassette function. It a beautiful looking item with the look and quality feel of a 1970s cassette recorder. I'm thrilled to bits with its style. The cassette sound surprised me as I had read reviews which are fairly detrimental concerning this aspect, but I found it to be loud and clear enough to fill a room. I'm very satisfied with the playback of cassettes, the USB and sd card functions. The radio is excellent too even though I'm not really a radio listener. The only bad thing is the recording aspect, I attempted to record from a USB stick onto a tape and it was absolutely diabolical, a completely pointless function in my honest opinion. Maybe this was down to the quality of cassette I used and perhaps a higher quality blank tape would create a better recording. Another let down is when adding live external speakers to the 3.5mm jack there is a hum and a low quality playback sound. I would like to add though that the radio cassette players speakers are adequate enough and better than other modern equvilents I have tried. Finally I'd like to say if you are a retro type of person like me who collects vintage record players and cassette players, I'm convinced you will be very happy with the look, feel and playback features.

Awful - Truly awful
This 'retro' radio cassette player seemed too good to be true at under £30 with radio (not DAB), USB/SD playback of MP3 files and cassette and ... it is!The casing is incredibly cheap and nasty. Push any part of it and it gives. The cassette door, supposedly damped eject needs a helping hand to open every time. Then there's the noise from the cassette mechanism. I suppose if you only play jungle music on this thing you won't hear the racket, but if you are a little more subtle (in fact the type of person who would buy this retro device) then you will hear the noise. Also, the wow and flutter is terrible. Listen to any track which holds a note and it goes up and down like a yo-yo!Now for some other points: the SD card slot doesn't work at all, so your only option is the USB port. The battery compartment door doesn't close flush with the back of the unit and, as somebody else has pointed out, the "microphone socket" on the top of the unit is just a hole. That's right, nothing at all is connected to it inside the unit. It is just a drilled hole with the word "MIC" next to it. There's only one nation on earth that can design and build such a piece of garbage and get away with selling it to us western idiots. You guessed it. Obviously sent it back!

Great retro looking 70ās portable radio cassette player
Item was delivered really quickly. (Thank you)Took a chance mainly because of looks and price. The item arrived as a KNSTAR FP-319 UDespite a lot of negative reviews, I found my example to be in a great condition. It plays my cassettes at the correct speed (with no wow and flutter) The radio reception is strong and clear ( where Iāve got it positioned in my kitchen. ) Iāve still to try the USB and SD card features as I bought it mostly for the radio / cassette function(s) which it does really well. The auto stop (cassette) function is for playback only - NOT for rewind/fast forward (which is in keeping with portables of their time !)Sound quality is clear- but no extremes of bass and treble ,ie midrange frequencies. All in all I give it 5 stars. Iām REALLY PLEASED with it.(If you wanted to release a deluxe version of this radio cassette player - at an extra retail price of, say, Ā£40 - Ā£50Iād love it to have a tone control , a tape counter and a backlit radio display.) IāD DEFO BUY IT !!Just an idea !All in all - a GREAT item.

Happy wife, happy life
Good value for money. Bought this for my wife as she wanted something to listen to her tape collection. Retro styling, and cheap. Not great sound quality and no tone adjustment, but she also has a Bluetooth Walkman to link to our Bluetooth speakers if she really wanted. She's happy with it, and it was cheap. No issues so far everything works well.
