Hanes Men's Over the Calf Tube Socks (6 Pair Pack)

These are mens' socks, but I'm an old lady and I have always disliked women's socks. They are not up to par as far as I'm concerned. The elastic doesn't hold up and that's the most important part. I've always been a fan of Hanes products. I've worn their womens underwear for years too. These socks are great because they are well made and don't have a "designated" heel, which makes them a perfect fit for anyone that loves extra long socks that go over your knees. I only wear socks in the winter and these are wonderful. I'm so glad I bought 2 packages, 12 pair, because they last and last.

I am totally satisfied with the quality and price of these socks.I buy this particular sock for my 10 year old son to wear under his AFO (ankle foot orthotic) brace, which covers his calf to just below his knee. It's so hard to find a true tube sock, one without a defined heel. Hanes sells these in stores, but I've had poor luck finding them, so I was thrilled to get them on Amazon. They are mostly cotton, hold up well in the wash even though I bleach them, and fit my son well. These are mens' socks, though, so my comments about fit can only apply to someone looking to fit a kid, one who wears a brace, at that. These socks would be too long to just wear alone. My son folds his sock down over his brace and it covers it to the ankle. Otherwise, it would fit over his knee and halfway up his thigh. These socks are smooth enough under the brace to not annoy him, but can bunch up a little under the brace strap on the instep if we aren't careful to smooth out the sock before tightening the strap. All in all, these socks are an indispensable part of my son's wardrobe and I think anyone looking for an actual tube sock will be happy with this brand.

Love the length & comfort of socks

Fits well from toe to heel but the over all length from heel to calf could be a bit longer.

Not to hard to put on.

I've been ordering these exact socks for years since I started wearing a leg brace. They are not marketed as compression socks... more like athletic socks that are knee high, which is what I want. Sadly, like with so many products, Hanes (manufacturer/brand) is cutting corners. The socks in my recent order are made of much thinner material, much less cushy than in the past. The socks are also shorter in length. They hit me mid calf instead of at my knee and I'm only 5'4". They don't stay in place. Disappointing. Inconsistent quality control is another reason why I wish there were more brick and mortar department stores left in the world so you could actually go in and examine the product rather than be forced to order online due to local product scarcity.
