MSI MPG Gaming Pro Carbon WIFI - The perfect X570 Motherboard to build with
I purchased this product to pair with the newly released AMD Ryzen 3900x. When it comes to motherboards there are a lot of options to choose from however with past experience of owning and building with a MSI motherboard (B450 Gaming Pro Plus) I knew I wanted to purchase from them again, one of the major pros is that they provide you with an easy to navigate manual written in a way that is easy to understand and follow which is a huge benefit to new builders. The MSI BIOS Flashback feature is also a big pro, being able to update the BIOS without the necessary CPU can save alot of time and hassle, I personally did not need this however in the future I will.1) The BoxWhen you first open the box you are greeted with the motherboard, carefully removing the motherboard you will find an entire compartment filled with a variety of helpful accessories. The box includes the following...- Motherboard quick Installation guide + Case standoff notification- MPG X570 Gaming Pro Carbon WIFI; User Guide- Thank you registration card- Driver Utility Disc- MSI Sticker badge- Two M.2 Screws- MSI Product information leaflet- MSI SATA Cable labels- MSI WIFI Antenna- Two SATA cables- RGB CablesMost of these accessories are fairly standard, the one thing I was surprised to see and was pleased with was the MSI SATA Cable labels, I didnt expect for them to be includeded however they were very useful and will continue to be in the future.2) MPG X570 Gaming Pro Carbon WIFI MotherboardThe Motherboard itself involves a lot of useful features including boosts such as an Audio Boost, DDR4 Boost and Core Boos and the new PCIE GEN4 all of these help provide that high grade performance I was looking for. The board features RGB which helps with visuals. I wanted performance and also wanted a good thermal solution and I am happy with how this board handles that with the Frozr heatsink design aswell as a M.2 Frozr thermal solution to cool the M.2 SATA or NVME Drive. I was very happy with how much suppport the board has, you can install 6 SATA drives, 2 M.2 Drives, up to 128GB of DDR4 4400 Ram, not including overcloking which is helped masively by the VRMS that this board provides. I will never run out of USB ports as there are 4 USB 3.2 GEN 2 ports aswell as 6 USB 3.2 GEN 1 Ports and 6 USB 2.0 Ports on the front and rear if the motherboard. I chose this board over other products as I felt it included everything I needed as well as more, it fulfilled my needs beyond my expectations including a build in I/0 Shield and Onboard WIFI.3) InstallationAs I previously said, all MSI boards are a pleasure to build with, they have a very simple but helpful installation guide aswell as the User Guide, with these two manuals and the case manual its very hard to go wrong, the board itself shares alot with previous generations of MSI motherboards in terms of the placement of fan headers, the CPU, Motherboard and SATA Cable locations so with previous experience its very easy to know where cables go, aswell as a user guide which is very helpful too. The built in I/O Shield removes the hassle of trying to line up the Ports with the shield and hold it in place to screw in the standoffs which was a nice quality of life update, there is nothing complicated that will cause problems during the installation steps, RAM clicks in easy, the CPU Slots right in, the graphics card is held very stuirdy in the PCIE slot, some other branded motherboards can cause it to sag more however this MSI board does not, and other MSI boards.4) Strenghts + Weaknesses for the MPG Gaming Pro Carbon WIFI MotherboardStrenghts;- Built in I/O Shield- Built in WIFI- Top Tier VRMS and thermal solutions (Chipset + M.2)- RGB- Carbon Visual Design- PCIE GEN 4- Tons of USB Ports- 128GB DDR4 4400 (Non Overclocked) RAM Supported- SLI Supported- Variety of onboard Boosts (Audio, DDR4, Core)Weaknesses;- At the time of writing this review I do not currently identify any weaknesses with this motherboard.4) Summary (TLDR)I chose to go with an MSI Motherboard over other brands due to the easy to navigate Manuals, MSI BIOS Flashback and the BIOS itself is very easy for new builders to understand. I chose this specific Motherboard for the Built in I/0 Shield, the FROZR thermal solution on both the M.2 Slots and the Heatsink, aswell as the built in WIFI with the Inlcluded MSI Antenna and the onboard boosts (Core boost, Audio Boost, DDR4 Boost). The product fulfilled 100% fulfilled my needsm it exceeded my expectations by including the SATA Cable labels which I did not expect. The user experience of building with this board is a pleasure, a few of my favourite aspects that helped this was the built in WIFI and the built in I/0 Shield aswell as MSI BIOS Flashback for users who may need to update the bios with no hassle. I would 100% recommend this board for any AMD RYZEN 3000 ZEN 2 CPU, Including the future 3950x due to this boards very good VRMS.

Best x570 Motherboard at it's price point
The MSI MPG X570 GAMING PRO CARBON WIFI Motherboard has to be considered among the top of the line boards out there for it's price point. This board does Not lack features at all when we get down to the nitty gritty spec. Why buy this motherboard? Well if you want RGB, Gen 4 PCI-E, on board Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 5.0, Built in I/O shield, fantastic cooling solutions, 2nd and 3rd gen cpu compatibility for those who haven't made the jump to gen 3 yet and many many more features.... then this is DEFINITELY the board for you - and all for an affordable price.Okay so if you want to unlock the true potential of this motherboard such as PCI Express 4, I would recommend that you make the plunge in getting yourself a gen 3 cpu.As previously mentioned this board has many great features and a top notch spec for a medium to high end board for $250. You can find the full spec on the MSI website if need be, i am mainly giving you my experience of the motherboard and not just echoing the features that MSI have already revealed. With my gen 3 cpu, I'm able to get a steady overclock of 4.2ghz on all cores set at a voltage of 1.35 but i'm no master overclocker so you'd most likely be able to get more juice out of yours.I was able to overclock my trident z rgb 3200mhz RAM by a few hundred ghz - this board i believe supports up to 4400.I ran a few tests and temp wise everything was nice and cool inside my meshify c case. All components and the board itself didn't show any problems or overheating due to good airflow and to note on the board it has frozr heatsink design, m.2 thermal shield frozr so you do get the best performance possible while maintaining great temps.Aesthetics wise this board does the job nicely due to the carbon fiber which is massively popular nowadays and of course... RGB goodness along the side and top left hand corner which i think is strategically placed due to components covering the motherboard you are still able to get a nice glow.Price point - $250 which i think is incredible for what you are getting. If you take a look at other companies such as gigabyte, asus and you try to match up a motherboard in it's price range, you clearly get more bang for the buck with this board when comparing the spec / features. My favorite aspect of this motherboard would have to be the compatibility for gen 2 and 3 because not everyone will have the money to go out and purchase a new cpu as well as the board so the fact that they can bring your existing amd gen 2 cpu and still get great performance is a real winner for the consumer. The main reason i chose this product over other competitors (i did a lot of research) - my price point was around $250 - was because as previously mentioned i get a lot of features for a medium - high end board, you get a great overclocking capabilities, good cooling solution AND of course built in Wi-Fi. I struggled to find a fantastic motherboard at this price point with built in Wi-Fi. MSI took the cake when it came to this. After using this board for a few days, i can definitely say that it has fulfilled my expectations in every single way and much more. I didn't think for a $250 board id get fantastic performance but MSI pulled it out of the bag once again. I literally have no complaints on this product.I can't quite think of any complaints/constructive criticism apart from maybe more RGB ;)Thank you MSI !!

Perfect for Ryzen 3000 CPUs
This motherboard is great to pair with a Ryzen 3000 CPU.Choosing a motherboard can be confusing, as there is so much choice. After a lot of time and research, I settled on the x570 Gaming Pro Carbon to go with my 3700x, and I am really pleased with my decision.Everything worked out of the box. Installation instructions were clear and simple. A lot of other manufacturers have had high profile issues with their release bios, this MSI worked perfectly for me.The chipset fan is very quiet, and chipset temps are low because of the good heatsync and layout design. The MSI Frozr heatsync and fan compares very favourably to other boards that my friends went with (ASRock, and ASUS).My GSkill 3200c15 worked first time with the XMP profile(even though it wasn't on the QVL list), and the board was very happy running them overclocked at either 3200c14 or 3600c16. The BIOS has lots of pre-programmed memory timings if you want to try overclocking. It's great if you aren't an expert in overclocking. Memory results will obviously differ depending on the sticks you choose. The new Dragon Center software is one of the best bundled software packages I've used. It contains all the programs that control motherboard features (LEDs, fans, updates, Wifi, performance monitor, network monitor and tools). All of these are in one place, rather than needing to install 5 different programsThe board also had a full feature set that matches some more expensive boards. Wifi, Bluetooth, high-powered VRM, metal heatsync for the Chipset and NVMe drives, error LEDs, large number of ports and connectors.I'm naturally quite a critical person, but this board exceeded my expectations.
