Q: Can i use this membrane on a ro system. for by window washing and what is the difference between a 4x21 and a 4x40 membrane?

The 4 x21 is around 21 inches long, the 4 x 40 is around 40 inches long. This is just the housing, you have to buy a 4 x21 inch RO membrane to go inside the stainless housing and you'll need at least 70 PSI on the feed water to get any decent flow rate from the membrane as anything below 40 PSI won't produce much water. The flow rate through the membrane is going to be pretty low even at optimum PSI of 90-100. It will output around a liter a minute in production water along with waste water.

This is membrane only and no housing included. Search for the housing 4021 and all the details is listed. Hosting includes 1/2" and 3/4" NPT female ports on each side. No 3/4 Gardon threads and you should buy adaptor 3/4" NPT x 3/4" Gardon, you can find it on Amazon.
