This Fantastic Panasonic specific remote worked right out of the box and I can honestly say "It is the Very Best Remote I've ever owned" I had lost the original Panasonic Remote to this blu ray player and was having to use a "Retched" GE universal model that had to be reprogrammed every single time you sneezed. None of the Panasonic Codes worked on it and I finally just was thinking about buying a new player that came with one. On a whim I took a chance and bought this beauty and Baby....I'm watching movies. It does everything but sing to you and I think it would do that too if I pushed enough buttons. Now before I get 10,000 questions here's the jest of it. It turns it on/off, it pauses, it stops play, it speeds forward & reverse, it opens/ closes the unit. It has a section for the TV (power/vol/input) Does that work do you ask? I don't know as I've got another Remote for thatand don't use it. I think I've covered the bases with it, oh yes, it takes two AA batteries, not included. I hope this helps in making your decision.

I needed a remote that would operate a panasonic blue ray player for my battlestar galactica disk set. My particular blue ray player was not on the compatibility list, but for the price I gave this remote a try. I was pleasantly surprised when it worked.

It's good for the price. You just have to be sure to press the buttons firmly for them to work! But the price was good!!! GOD BLESS EVERYONE!!!

I lost my remote for my blu ray player a long time ago, but have been wanting to watch dvds of movies I can't find on streaming, which meant I needed to get a new remote! This one works great! I don't need it to do anything other than operate my blu ray player, so I can't speak for any other potential functions, but it works well for what I need it for!

I love love love this remote! As someone who is technologically inept it was amazing to not have to program it. Started with the Blu-ray player off, put batteries in the remote and used it to turn the Blu-ray player on, works immediately.
