A must have investment!!!
First, the lower case s is fixed and written as it should be. But let me tell you how fabulous this is!! My 7 year old knows cursive, her school teaches only cursive and I reinforce it because of all the studies that support cursive is the most logical and beneficial choice for children to learn first. My child loves this and she says it helps her practice her form so easily. She also keeps it around to use when writing to remind her how a letter is formed if she forgets. Now my 2.5 yr old... Loves leap frog products but gets frustrated because obviously, her motor skills are appropriately not developed to be able to perfectly trace the straight lines. She loves this because it has the wood pencil and she can trace it and learn the flow without frustrations. By no means do I expect her to learn cursive at this age but it does give her a foundation as well as independent successful usy work. And has reinforced her ability to read upper and lower case letters. Yes my child knows all her upper and lower case block and cursive letters along with the phonetics from watching leap frog and learning with me.My 7 year old opened the packaging and we all immediately fell in love with the fabulous wood smell. It is two sides, smooth, quality and accurate lettering for what she has learned in school. My folks were so impressed by this product as well! So in my opinion, now that lower case s is correct, an absolute worthwhile investment for many years to come. I already have two granddaughters and have confidence they will soon use this too! Thank you for this!

So very well made.
Of all the tracing boards out there, these are truly the best. Worth every penny! We bought the numbers and the print letters. They are the perfect thickness for comfortable tracing. The tracing sticks provided fit into the grooves, are easy to hold in small hands and the child is able to “write” the letter correctly and then when you take them to paper the refined small muscles are able to repeat the same action comfortably. The boards are so well made!!! Sanded smoothly, no splinters or jagged edges . So the child can trace with their finger and no danger of being cut or getting a splinter.A clean oil finish. They are lightweight so easy for the child to hold.We tried boards from a couple other companies - actually got cut tracing on one - we sent them all back. The big bonus too - they are hand made here in the US!!! So you can trust the type of wood and oil used isn’t toxic and has no bad smell . Feels good to support small business. These are heirloom quality -meant to be handed down.I am so pleased with the boards and the absolute kindness of Cosmo Crafts.Oh - order up a few extra tracing sticks ...These are used by children so the sticks tend to get misplaced.

Excellent educational toy
I wasn't sure whether this would keep the attention of my very active 4 yo, but she wanted to learn to write letters so I took a chance. So glad I did. This is an extremely well made toy, with uppercase on one side and lowercase on the other. The writing implement was lost within moments, but we have been replacing it with chopsticks from takeout Thai. It's solid wood and has that nice piney smell to it. Definitely an heirloom toy. Not only does the 4 yo revisit it periodically, the 2 yo is entranced and uses it to sing her abcs.

the best for learning letters and numbers
I like it very much, I think is very well hand made done. I bought it because i’m a Teacher and I think is the best way to learning numbers and letters

Lowercase cursive s is less than ideal.
The lowercase cursive s isn't a traditional s shape... which doesn't match other Montessori materials. Will likely return.

NO LOWER CASE LETTERS!
Am I missing something? ?

Surprisingly engaging for our toddlers
We were initially a bit skeptical, but our just-turned-3 year old absolutely loves this, and her 2 year old brother seems to be following her example so far. It's one thing to have the two of them tracing letters on a two dimension page, but it seems to be a whole new level of engagement for them to be able to "feel" the curves of their letter and get tactile feedback as they're tracing. Very cool concept!
