🌟 Elevate Your Aquarium Experience!
The TAAM Rio 90 Power Surface Skimmer and CO2+ Reactor is engineered for aquariums up to 24" deep, featuring a clog-resistant venturi design and suction cup attachment for easy installation. It effectively skims the water surface to enhance light penetration for plants while producing ultra-fine CO2 bubbles for optimal growth.

Does exactly what it says it will do.
This is used to keep the surface of my sump clean and to diffuse co2. It does both nicely. I've had some very expensive co2 reactors and I've used glass diffusers. This lies somewhere between the two. For that,i would give it 4 stars. However, it's also a 2 in 1 product. It does keep the surface perfectly clean and with minimal space. Therefore, I give 5 stars overall.

it's ok for a skimmer sucks for co2

Not the best
Not the greatest surface skimmer I have others that work twice as good and cost half as much does dispense co2 but I've found it does not mix co2 fine enough and sits to high in tank to get optimal co2 readings I evan tryed pushing it all the way to bottom of tank to just disperse co2 and I still dident reach the co2 leval I wanted with out really cranking up the bubbles a good diffuser uses half the co2 to reach optimal levels so no I don't really think its worth the money the pump in it is pretty weak

It works!
Works great for co2. It really swirls the co2 around inside until it disolves. You won't see any bubbles like on youtube unless you really turn it up. 3bps or less you will hardly see any bubbles, but if you turn it up, it will shoot out so fine bubbles just like a co2 diffuser. But with a glass diffuser you really have to turn up the pressure. With this reactor pressure isn't an issue. The only problem I have with this surface skimmer is the suction cups, they don't stay in place when you have to move the reactor. Its a minor annoyance. Also its very big for my 15g tank. Takes up a lot of space! As far as skimming goes, it does keep the surface crystal clear. And for the price, you can't beat, less then 15 bucks, other co2 turbo reactors go for seventy five buckaroos!!If you decide to get one of these, keep in mind there's 2 versions of the Rio90, with suction cups or magnetic mount. and if you have a big tank, theres the rio200.

Two birds with one stone!
My tank tends to build up a surface film after a few days. This skimmer takes care of the film and prevents build up. I have a 56g column tank and this seems to have no issue. If you have a lot of floating algae or plant detritus, it tends to clog/reduce flow after a few days necessitating a quick cleaning and then it's good as new. I've found that when I took the little foam filter pad out of the skimmer, it does not get reduced flow for several weeks. I'm not really using this for filtration anyways. Just surface film skimming. As for the CO2 reactor feature, this seems to do a good job of breaking the gas into tiny bubbles. Granted, since it is a surface skimmer the CO2 is being released higher in the tank than most would desire. You can solve this by placing it close to your "regular" filter outlet to help distribute the bubbles more.I challenge you to find a similarly priced device that does both of these features well. We have had in use for four months now with no issues. Overall I am pleased with my purchase. One Year Update: This unit is still going strong and I have had no issues with it. Every few weeks some algae builds up on the intake but it is pretty easy to clean. Got a separate CO2 monitor and this keeps it at the perfect level.
