Toyota FJ Blackout Door Handle KIT 2007-2014 69210-0C010 & 69217-0C010 2 of Each Part

I had this product for quite a while before I found the time to actually install the handles. After I found a few Youtube videos showing how to install them I finally had the time to give it a try. The first one took about 10 minutes to install as I slowly went through the process step by step. The second one took me about 3 minutes. The finish on them is excellent. The fit is perfect. They look awesome on my 2014 FJ Cruiser. Much better looking than the silver colored original equipment. And yes, these are actual molded black plastic. The packaging gives the impression that they are actual Toyota OEM parts and after unpacking and installing them I would say that they really are OEM parts.Installation: Open the door you want to install them on. Remove the black rubber/soft plastic round plug you see at the same level as the handle on the edge of the door. That will reveal a screw-head recessed in the hole now present in the door, Insert a proper sized star-drive and turn counter-clockwise. Don't worry about losing the screw, it has a retainer that prevents it from falling out or into the door. Then pull the part out that contains the lock for the door, pull it straight out away from the door towards the outside. Next place your hand on the handle and pull it towards you, away from where the door hinges to the FJ. For the part that contains the lock I used a small screwdriver to carefully separate the old silver cover from it and the black lock cover just snapped right on to replace it. Insert the new black handle in the exact reverse of how you removed the original handle. Snap the lock back in. Tighten the star-drive clockwise (Not TOO tight! Just snug). And you are DONE!! Love them !! Minutes to install and huge difference in overall look. They are solid black TRD handles not the cheezy after market primed ones. These are 100% OEM Toyota FJ parts !! FANTASTIC look, super easy install (standard tools required) and finish lasts against the elements! Live in the NorthEast & these handles haven’t faded at all over a few years of brutal winters, salted roads, and a lot of beach off-roading. Highly recommend- 2008 FJ Cruiser

Thank goodness one of the reviews gave me a hint of how to get the original handles off because these come with zero instruction. But after I pulled the plug from the door jam, found the star drive screw (I have a 2014 btw), backed it out a bit but not all the way then wiggled the small, lock side of the handle - the rest was done in 5 minutes. I have a white FJ and these look great. Assuming they hold up to weather and time, these are awesome.

These are great door handles! They are exactly the same as the originals, except that they are made of black plastic instead of that weird silver/grey that comes standard. Very easy to install. Read the other posts for instructions, or just search on YouTube where I found a nice video with straightforward instructions.If you do it right, it seriously takes about 5 minutes.
