Lovely story
Read this because title was intriguing - enjoyed it very much & wish there was a longer adult version. This would be a good early chapter book

The Blue ghost
The Blue Ghost is a good story about a girl called Liz. One night she sees a blue ghost near her bed, calling her name. Liz just walks into the wall and sees another Elizabeth looking after 3 children and 1 baby. She develops a kind of relationship with her. They tell each other about ghosts. The best part is that Liz's grandma manages to take her mind off selling the house. That was worrying her a lot.I liked this book because it was interesting and I loved it!A person who does not believe in ghosts would find this book amusing.

flat ending
This story started off o.k. I did not noticeany harmfull things. Story is about a young girlwho is helping her grandmother pack up and move. The grandmother is not happy because the househas been in her family for many, many years.Everything went along fine until the end of thestory. The author should have made this story alittle longer. And put a better ending to it.

Easy to read, enjoyable story for young readers
Nine-year-old Liz is staying at her grandmother's vacation house in upstate Minnesota, helping her sort through everything before it's sold. Liz is intrigued by the house's rich history - it was built by her many-times-great-grandfather as a simple one-room log cabin, then added onto over the years. But even more incredible is when Liz wakes in the night, seeing a transparent bluish figure calling her name. Who is she and what does she want? This story is simply written yet never "dumbed down," making it perfect for young or struggling readers. The ghost aspect will make it especially compelling.

Decent Story
The cover and title will surely grab the attention of most young readers. The chapters are short and the book contains many illustrations. All pluses in the minds of most of my students. From a teacher's perspective, the book has some great foreshadowing. The writing is descriptive without being overly wordy. The vocabulary is perfect for the reading level. The plot twists are better than many of the ghost books I have read of similar reading level.I looked at this book primarily as a tool to use with struggling readers. While I do think this book will be perfect for many readers for the above mentioned reasons, I am concerned about the lack of male characters. Many boys that I have worked with dislike books with central female characters. All of the major characters in this book are female, only a few male characters appear at all.
